She Lied About Her Age

I never lied about my age but now that I’ve turned 70, I’m not sure that was so smart. I can’t believe my age. It sounds old to me so I can just imagine what my business associates and others are thinking. I guess I’ll get used to it. After all “honesty is the best policy” or so they say.

Separate Bedrooms for Marcia and Larry

I think each to his own but I’ve been married for forty five years and still want to sleep in the same bed as my husband. I’m not a great sleeper (he is) but I rather have him next to me than have separate bedrooms. We each have busy lives and don’t see each other during the day and I would hate not to be together durng the night. I rather do with less sleep. There is something very special about sharing one’s bed with someone you love.

The Luxury Cockroach

Many years ago there was a wonderful and popular restaurant named Maxwell’s Plum in NYC. My husband and I were having lunch there at a table for two and parallel to our table was another table for two. As their bread tray was put down by a very professional looking waiter an enormous cockroach surfaced from the bottom of the tray and appeared on top of one of the beautiful rolls. Within a second the very professional waiter removed the bread tray with great aplomb and carried it back to the kitchen as though he was carrying a souffle. I never forgot this experience and we left immediately.
