Jane Wagner's Poor Brown Bear and Other Mother Earth Care-toons

It reminds me of Ghost ~ and in that way I have always found the word ditto terribly romantic

If you could live inside a movie, which would it be?

This is most definitely a thinker. To be Ms. Elizabeth Bennett and have Colin Firth as your Mr. Darcy would be heavenly and living in Pemberley ~ c’est beau. And of course who doesn’t want to live in a Musical where you can break into song and dance at the drop of a dime ~ perhaps Chitty Chitty Bang Bang so Dick Van Dyke and I could fly away to Vulgaria. Then there is the idea that you could pick the movie based on your leading man (or woman as the case may be) - anything where I could play opposite Johnny Depp would do it for me. But in the end I must go with my gut reaction and say Big Fish. The colors and the beauty and the magic. This movie is fantastical and beautiful and a true expression of the human experience. “A (wo)man tells his stories so many times that he becomes the stories. They live on after him, and in that way he becomes immortal.”

I think the best line of that movie is "Don’t you ever say never to me"! TOWANDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you turned into your mother? If so, how?

I’m not nearly as smart yet, or worldly but mom taught me to be true to myself and she taught me what it means to be strong and brave and loyal and to respect myself and in that way I am just like her — and want to be. (We also have the same laugh.)

How do you feel about being left alone for a few days? What do you do with the time?

Again - I believe age plays a factor in answering this question. As I have stated before I am one of the younger women on the site (23) and so my idea of alone is slightly different. I have never lived alone - at home with my parents until 18, then with the two best room-mates known to man through 4 years of college, and now with three wonderful college friends who have become my room-mates. We all have our own rooms so if I need to be alone all I have to do is shut the door, and our schedules are very different so that when we all are home at the same time it is a lovely surprise - as we all enjoy each others company.

When I do find moments when no one is in the apartment my favorite thing to do is turn on my music -as loud as it will go- and clean clean clean. Or I take a bubble bath, or read my books, or watch really bad TV, or a favorite movie, or my favorite thing to do if the weather is nice is walk with my i-pod (especially up to the park where I can roam around for hours). I have gone to the movies alone, and this year for the first time out to dine by myself. I have wonderful friends and family I enjoy spending time with and in times when I am going through a rough time personally (like now) I want the people I love around me constantly. I do enjoy my alone time but I also love being with people.

I think my living situation is ideal…when I want the interaction there is almost always someone there and when I want the alone time I just shut my door, light a candle, and look out over the NYC skyline.

Why do you live where you do? How rooted are you to that place?

I live in New York City. I have always felt at home here and currently can’t imagine living anywhere else. In the mid 1700’s John Adams wrote on New Yorkers, "They talk very loud, very fast, and altogether. If they ask you a question, before you can utter three words of your answer, they will break out upon you again — and talk away." I believe this still holds true today and is one of the many reasons I call this city home. However, my roots are in Danbury Connecticut (D-Block). I grew up there. High school at DHS - this is where I learned to be independent, unique, smart, brave, and powerful. The friends I made there are the ones I will have forever. Although New York City is my home, Danbury is my heart.

What are you reading that you really love?

Susan, I can’t agree more. I am addicted to Jodi. I devour her books. I recently attended a book signing/reading of hers where she promoted her new book, Change of Heart, which I highly recommend. She is brilliant! I am currently reading McCullough’s John Adams which I am enjoying. And I recently finished the Twilight Series (which was incredible cheesy and incredibly addicting). Any book that makes me feel as though I’m there, as though the heroine and I are one…I’m hooked!

How do you feel about Senator Clinton's win in Pennsylvania?

I’m excited about the win…I like Hillary. I think this is such a difficult election. Obama is a charmer and a wonderful speaker and that is most definitely something we need in the white house right now, he knows how to get the nation (especially the youth) excited about the government and America again. Hillary on the other hand has the experience. She’s been in the white house before and she knows the way it works. This is a very hard election. I am left thinking about John Adams and his first letter to Abigail from the President’s House, “I pray Heaven to bestow the best Blessings on this House and all that shall hereafter inhabit it. May none but honest and wise “men” ever rule under this roof.” Unfortunately, I think we forgot about this a long time ago and I would really love to have someone in the White House who could live up to this. I don’t know who that is if it is any of the candidates…so for now I will have to say, “Go Hillary.” (At least she has experience)

On Tuesday you told us what you slept in. Today, we want to know: How many people have you slept with?

I’m one of the youngins on the site and I am happy to share that I’m in my early twenties and still a virgin. I did think about just submitting that answer without the age reference to see what sort of a reaction it sparked but I think in this day and age being a virgin in your twenties is just as shocking as being a virgin in your thirties — but perhaps my view is warped.

Lunch with the Friaresses and More

Lizzie - what is a calf fry? I really have no idea.

"South Pacific" returns to Broadway — what musical comedy from your or your parent's youth still resonates with you today?

The Music Man” - I grew up watching this one. Whenever I stayed home sick from school Professor Harold Hill and Marian the Librarian kept me company while Eulalie Mackechnie Shinn entertained. I know I am only 23 but it is my dream to one day play Eulalie — I long to be married to the Mayor of River City.

What mythical figure do you most relate to? Ditto, historical figure?

Mythical: Venus —- Historical: Abigail Adams…I really would love to be her

Do you tell people your real age?

You lucky ladies… I am 23 and if I didn’t color my hair would have a whole head of gray’s.
