Interesting you should say that.  Someone on another forum recently was commenting about a similar situation.  He or she said it seemed like the man is always blamed more than the "other woman".    

They are both equally to blame.  It takes two to tango.  I have no use for a woman who takes up with a married man.  It was especially ironic in this instance because she was supposedly upset that he was seeing yet another woman.  Well, she wasn’t in a very good position to complain about that!  But I also have no use for a man who cheats on his family.  From what I understand, McNair met this girl at a restaurant while he was there with his wife!  How low is that?

Thanks, Richard, that was lovely to watch.  I knew you and I would be in agreement about this. 

In addition to the advice given, maybe LW#1 could make a point of letting her sister know all of the things she admires about her.  For instance, if she is a good mother, tell her so.  Maybe ask her for some sisterly advice from time to time.  And lend a sisterly ear to her, too.  Sometimes it helps tremendously to just blow off some steam and know someone understands.  The two sisters have made different choices but they are both valid choices.  Acknowledge that and, hopefully, she will reciprocate.

LW#2  - There are pros and cons either way.  Yes, younger parents have more energy, etc…  But older parents often have more patience and life experience to share.  Also, older parents may be more finacially secure.  No situation in life is perfect.  There will always be trade-offs.     

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.  I personally think Elizabeth Taylor, in her prime, was the most beautiful woman ever.  Part of it is her fairly uncommon coloring, the dark hair contrasting with the fair skin and, yes, those violet eyes.  Mind you, there are many very close seconds.  I’ve never seen her person, though, so I’m probably not sticking with the program.     

Woody, thank you so much for expressing what I was thinking about Mariah Carey’s dress!  I came thisclose to saying much the same, but held back. 

Oh, the irony!  I have straight, fine hair and would love to have curly hair.  My daughter has inherited my hair (sadly) and feels the same.  Meanwhile, all of her friends with curly or wavy use a flat iron to straighten theirs. 

I didn’t see anything wrong with it.  Other than the obvious grieving, she did not seem uncomfortable doing it.  It was very touching.  Probably it was not what MJ would have done, though.  As long as the Jacksons do not exploit the children, letting them see the light of day is not a bad thing.  I think MJ may have erred a little too much on the side of caution.  

A lot of what he went through in his adult life was self induced.  I don’t think people would have speculated about him nearly so much if he had not provided so much fodder.  Surely he had to know he was doing just that with his unusual behavior.  

Such a lovely picture of Farrah Fawcett.  My one hope is that her son will be able to get his life together, as his mother would have wished.

Sarah Palin.  She made a choice and will either suffer the consequences or reap the benefits as a result.  I just can’t get myself all worked up over it one way or the other.  Que sera, sera.
