I feel the same.. as a senior who isn’t wealthy, I still feel that we need to provide a way for those worse off to obtain health care before it come to an ER visit.. which we pay for in our taxes at an exponentially higher rate.

as a mom to 5 sons and an RN… the boys’ dad was uncomfortable with the subject.. so pretty much just laid it out as a health subject. Sometimes I would wait until we were on the highway, driving fast; captive audience then. Told them I had heard that they were having health in school and thought they needed straight talk. I got them books about boys and girls… told them they should check it out.. And just chose a subject.. After the first two "chats" told them to feel free to ask.. and had some interesting conversations… Gave them all condoms in their school pack when they left for college.. and yes, had a talk about how important it was to have your first sexual experience with someone you truly cared for.. .
