I’m still stuck on Candice’s Cavalier/Bichon mix…huh!? You’re kidding, right, Candice?

I became a Catholic at 21 to become married to a Catholic, per his request. He went to confession to be forgiven by “God” each Saturday night after doing some somewhat dubious things to mankind during the week. We were divorced 7 years later. The marriage was annuled by the Catholic Church. Therefore, the two children that I have don’t exist….(?) under the laws of the Catholic Church. Needless to say, though when I was young (21) it gave me strength, but I was soon betrayed and saw how it was “used”. He felt as long as God forgave him on Saturday night, he didn’t need to be forgiven by man, or woman.

MaryPage, you are so right on!! I feel the bible was written as a control over women in a man’s perfect world. Men wrote the bible. It is only a book to me. I am confused as to how I should fear a God I am to love. My “god” comes from within and is tied to all others and every living thing. To me, we all, as living creatures, make up one god as a unit. I think the American Indians have summed up god best. When a tree falls, my heart bleeds…when an animal dies, part of me dies….overwhelming, perhaps. But isn’t that what the meaning of “God” is?

“Why me”? you ask, Ashley. Because you are bright, intelligent, and sensitive to the needs and feelings of others and you have the courage to “do it”. We named our dog “Murphy Brown” because of my love for Candice. She was a wonderful Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who loved everyone. She got cancer at 3 and we had to put her down. I am still crying for Murphy Brown and always will….

Beautiful! Let love prevail without exception and there will always be hope for peace at the end of the rainbow!

Just to show there is such strength in numbers! Let us all learn to stay united to make this a better America…and save our children and their children.

Actually, I tried this on a guy who was flying towards me from his oncoming lane as I was going to make a left turn. He was going about 60 in a 25 MPH zone coming right at me from his lane. I faked a left turn right into him as he came near and he actually almost pulled into the ditch as he thought I was actually turning my steering wheel into him…though I was faking it by just moving my hands left around the outside of the wheel! Slowed him right down.

Carrie - I adored Nancy Drew. My memories of a child are going to the book store every week to see if her new book was out yet! I had to have it!! She was my companion and the sister I did not have. I have collected quite a library of Nancy’s books, and will give them to my granddaughter in a couple of years. Thanks for the memories….

Josie - Dogs shouldn’t be allowed to die…I lost mine when she was only 3 to cancer. It nearly killed me and still makes my heart ache three years later. Keep Atticus alive - write your book!!!!

“Illusions” by Richard Bach. I still read it every few years and have given a copy to both my kids to read.l It reminds me that I have created the “movie” I am in, and only I can change it…and that it is a “choice” to be where I am or to be somewhere else. No one does it for you. It is a wonderful, wonderful book! If you haven’t read it, you should.

I was 10. We were at a kids barn dance and party. I think it was someone’s birthday. His name was Nicky Pekelsma and I adored him. I had my first ever dance with him. We danced to Twilight Time and he gave me a kiss afterwards. Just a kid’s kiss…a nice one to remember.
