I’m a Black version of Tammy Faye Baker and I love it! As fake as they come….no plastic surgery but can relate to Cindy McCain’s heavy hand with the make up brush and lip gloss.

I am computer savvy and have the knowledge and skills to invade almost anyone’s email account. I even know how to hack into certain private files of websites. It’s not as difficult as some may think….Those who know computers hold a lot of power. However with great power comes great responsibility. Just because we CAN do something, doesn’t mean we SHOULD. If he is guilty I hope he is prosecuted. I don’t care for Palin, but if we are to see her emails, I would prefer that they come to us legally.

Call me crazy but I think Henry Paulson is an extremely attractive and sexy man….he doesn’t know a thing about economics however….but he looks great in a suit. :-)

Funny how many of us are answering this question in the same manner. My answer is like that of others, I can finally say no to whatever the question. When I was younger not only did I feel I was not allowed to say no, but instead felt obligated to say yes. To give of my time and efforts without hesitation because doing any less would have risked me being labeled as selfish. “How dare Belinda say no to me, she knows I need (fill in the blank)” But now I embrace myself and realize I have to put what is best for me first. And sometimes….not always, but sometimes…..the answer should be no. No equivocations or explanations as to why I can’t or won’t do something….simply “No.” It’s very freeing.

I love this! The Saudi women see in Oprah, the very attributes that have made her a success in America. The very attributes that women gravitate and cling to her for. There are two camps when it comes to Oprah. Women either Hate her or Love her…..there are no gray areas from what I have seen. She has this undeniable and uncanny way of inspiring women to be more than they thought they could be. She shows her flaws openly and honestly and by doing so, we relate to her in a more genuine way. And for all our gripes and grievances about sexism in America, they pale in comparison to what our sisters are going through in Saudi. Kudos to them for finding inspiration to be strong independent and self assured women in the face of negativity and oppression. And kudos to Oprah for being a touchstone for their internal change.

They really are slick glasses. My eyes suck….I desperately need to wear glasses, but am to vain to do so. I must admit, I may try a pair of his glasses, they really do look good. And friends tease me about not being able to find one thing positive about Palin to say. Stephanie, there’s one. In your face!

John Edwards cheated on his wife…..and so have countless other politicians, even presidents of the United States. These men have gone on to lead successful careers in politics and for many, the fact that they have that missing chromosome called “marital fidelity” in their DNA make-up is of little consequence. But it is his personal life story that makes his infidelity so egregious in my eyes. Elizabeth has Cancer! How low can a man stoop? I am being presumptuous, but I would imagine her self esteem was already at it’s lowest point. She was struggling with therapy to fight the cancer and he selfishly thinks of only having his ego (and other parts of his body) stroked….how low is that? I wanted desperately to see John Edwards in the White House because of the platform he ran on…to be a champion for the poor. How noble a cause it is for him to claim when it feels no one is giving any voice or attention to the subject. It is heartening to hear that he and Elizabeth will carry on down this road toward change for the poorest among us. But I have to say, as my father used to say (Southern Baptist Pastor Lathan) “you should always pay attention to the message, but it is even more important to pay attention to the messenger” The lesson being, even an evil person can speak the truth. I just don’t know if I could believe or respect anything that comes out of John Edwards mouth ever again.

I saw clips of this movie just yesterday, it looks like it is going to be a really good film.

I am going to go out on a limb with this one……but it is my opinion that a majority of women (and men) who post on this website represent a segment of our society that “gets it” We are the ones who don’t accept anything and everything that is printed online, in emails or shown on cable news at face value. We are intelligent and choose to delve deeper whether we agree with what is being expressed or not, to find the core truth of what is being said. This can not however be said about the vast majority of people using the internet as we are right this moment. They are the ones that get a slanderous email from a friend or associates and forward it on as if it was the gospel. They are the ones who post opinions on blogs using these erroneous statements as substantiating their opinions and thoughts. Have people been posting some really scandalous and erroneous things about Sarah Palin? Yes. But in my opinion it is up to each and everyone of us to delve deeper behind the words and see if other facts back up what is being presented as fact. As I do on this board and others on the net, I simply ignore posters who I feel have not done their homework and instead concentrate on those that clearly have, for insightful and interesting online banter.

For me its Saturday and Sunday mornings. Those are the times I relax, sleep late, chill and just be…… I don’t know if I could sustain my sunny disposition throughout the week without my “me time” early on the weekends.

“In another attempt to disgrace, violate and humiliate vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin, hackers have reportedly tapped into her private Yahoo e-mail account and posted some of its contents on the Internet.” She herself and the McCain camp for not properly and thoroughly vetting her have done more damage than any online “slackers” could ever do. All of her skeletons that are falling out of her closet for us to see are her fault. She and McCain were either so arrogant to believe Americans wouldn’t care, or stupid enough to think we wouldn’t find out. They were wrong on both points.

I don’t know what to think. As I said, I’d rather hear from Hillary herself (which I am sure will probably be within 24 hours) the reasons behind her decision. It’s one thing to have a press release put out there to address the press from her camp, it’s another thing to hear the words directly from a politicians’s mouth.

Elizabeth, I hope you read these posts and take from them that you have a lot of people who don’t know you from a hole in the wall, but truly care for you. I am one of them. My opinion of Hillary changed as the race for the white house drew near, but the one thing I did agree with her on was her universal healthcare plan. Many dismiss the notion, but something tells me with Barack Obama is put in the White House we will see him appoint her in some aspect toward health care. And with this we will see fundamental changes to how we manage health care in America. Changes that will benefit women in your situation without your means, and those in even more dire need. Bless you and your children and I pray you are taking care of yourself emotionally and physically through this chapter of your life. You are loved….. Belinda Joy

McCain holds a fundraiser to the tune of $50K a head compared to Obama’s which was $28.5K…..and HE has the nerve to mock Barack? John, lying is an ugly attribute of one’s personality and jealousy is as well. You need to do some serious soul searching. Do you really want to win the White House at the loss of your honor? How sad.
