Margo Howard: Move Over, Levi Strauss
Well said deber …. Levi would do well to go home, finish school and maybe work for his father - learn the electrical trade. By the way though Levi’s mother is a drug dealer his father has his own business in Alaksa and apparently is quite successful. He offerred to teach Levi the trade but apparently Levi has better things to do with his life like - pay support for his son etc. As well Levi’s father is a staunch supporter of Governor Palin … interesting wouldn’t you say?

Well I am sure you have all devated Liz Peek by your attacks on her fair and honest article! She must be shaking in her boots - but wait - like me she knows that we can exercise our freedom of speech and opinion and in this case TRUTH - that has not been taken away yet. Thank you Liz Peek for a wonderful article!
Unions have their place in our society but they should never be stonger than the company ….. they should never be allowed to take away the right to a free vote ….. they should be prepared to make concessions to keep their fellow union members working instead of fighting a compromise that has resulted in the job loss of over one thousand of their members ….. They have their place, they have a role and they should contain themselves in that role - not push past that …..
They also have no right to be supporting politicial parties - they are supposed to be about their members - not about American politics ….. they should never push that agenda on their members and they do - vote for this guy - or else ….. it happened to my husband and some of his friends many times in the past and from his conversations with the guys at work these demands are still there - those who did not vote for Obama did not dare say so at work - because the union demanded their members vote for him ….
Unions need to be obligated to work within the boundaries of their own and America’s constitution and many of them do not. This is a problem no? They protect lazy enployees who take advantage of the benefits and keep them working instead of allowing them to be fired and letting someone else have a good job …. I remember years and years ago the motto was "A good day’s work for a good day’s pay" - what happened to that in the case of lazy bums? Don’t protect them …

I heard today that a Mayor or Governor (yikes old age) asked some union workers to take a day without pay to avoid lay offs - the union fought the idea all the way to the supreme court and won …. but what did they win? This idea was put forward in order to avoid the lay off over 1000 union members. One day of work given up would have saved 1000 people their jobs - so much for the ‘brotherhood’ of unions.
They were a good thing once - but demand too much now. My husband is so glad to be retired and out of his union shop now. He said there were workers there who should have been fired and the union saved them their jobs. He worked the same job for years and was a strong union man for a long time - but he said they have become too strong and far too radical for his liking. If you are not prepared to do an honest days work for good pay the company should be able to fire you - but it is hard to do today.

Sebelius talks like she been drinking …. ever noticed that? She also looked down her nose at the dissent at a town hall meeting she attended …. Not a very trustworthy source of information in my view.
However as a nurse, I get a flu shot every year and intend to do so again. If I am going to be any good to any of my patients in case we are hit I need to be well. I am hopeful my grandchildren and children follow suit. I am not into conspiracy theories but did catch the Hong Kong flue that hit North America in the mid 1960’s …. I almost died …. and I am not ready to kick the preverbial bucket yet if I can help it …. If it is available in your area and your doctor reccomends it get it done ….
