A Few Words About One Word, by Margo Howard
I came of voting age when JFK was running for president and I eagerly cast my vote for him. In my youthful exuberance I was excited by his youth, professed vision, and aura. Over the years I have watched and read a great deal about all of the Kennedy’s. They have lived life to the fullest, weathering the ups and downs in the public eye. This weekend I was glued to the TV, channel surfing to get various commentators expressed opinions. One thing that stood out to me was that Senator Kennedy orchestrated every aspect of the proceedings, choosing speakers, etc. Knowing this, the constant reference to the healthcare issue (yes, I know it was his ‘life long dream") by many of the speakers smacked of "campaigning from the grave". For me, the most agregious moment was when his young namesake grandchild, at gravesight, tearfully gave a plug for healthcare. The Senator has done much good in his life and I applaud his efforts. To me, injecting the healthcare issue at every turn, less than admirable. Using children is dispicable. This is my opinion You may have your own.
Top 10 Spas That Will Change Your Life
Melissa —> you would LOVE Rancho La Peurta — very serene, lots of opportunity for meditation, socializing, exercising or eating really good food (lots of beans and Beano is available everywhere :)). A super resort for the single traveler when one wants to really get away!
Belinda —> Fermes de Marie sounds very appealing.
Cal-a-Vie is awesome and they are adding to that awesomeness every day.
Ah … spa life. So many choices, so little $! (speaking for myself:))

Margo, you have a wonderful platform from which to do a great deal of good for our country. Why are you swimming in the gutter?
In my opinion, a politician’s family should be OFF LIMITS! Regardless of the subject matter. It seems to me that when journalists have nothing negative to say about a politicion they bring in family and/or fabricate stories. Ugh.
Would it be beneficial to helping the voters make an informed decision if journalists provided in-deph, unbiased information on the individual? Oh, sorry, that would only be able to happen if the facts of one’s life were open to scrutiny, you know, like one’s birth certificate, college papers and other relevant information were available.
Over all, the bottom line is only time will tell if we have the most billiant or the most destructive leadership.
Fortunately we are still free to have differing opinions in both the oral and written arenas.
In celebration of Independence Day, when was the last time you really took advantage of your freedom?
Each and every day I take advantage of my freedom(s) as an American Citizen in so many ways, some ways taken for granted that they are not even noticed.
Each time we log onto this site, share our thoughts with each other on every subject imaginable, with so many various viewpoints, I am so very thankful.
Each time we drive through Camp Pendleton and see our courageous men and women training to protect us on various fronts, I am so very grateful.
I could go on and on but I know you all get the message.
Happy 4th of July to everyone. Be safe, happy and grateful!
GOD BLESS THE UNITED SATES OF AMERICA.
