New York City's innovative new park, the High Line, is finally open. Tell us: What park is your favorite in the world?
This pic of High Line Park is so beautiful serene and causes one to want to meditate. I would love to have a copy of it does any one know if that’s possible, to purchase a copy?
I love NY. Don’t live there but sure wish I did. It’s the BEST city in the world.

Whatever Happened to Discretion?
I believe Mark Sanford had a motive behind those affectionate comments he made about his mistress. It was a cause and effect mindset. He said those things publicly to cause his wife to leave. So that it would be her who would walk away from the marriage.
I also don’t believe he intends to reconcile his marriage. If he was serious about that, he would’ve stepped down from office to go and work at repairing his marriage full time.
How can his wife take him back after the comments and maintain any self respect. What about that? What about her self respect and diginity? In order to keep it, she must walk away.

Liza Donnelly's Cartoon of the Week: Spitzer or Sanford?
I believe Sanford provided more information than was needed because his goal was to cause his wife to be the one who walks out.
How can any self respecting wife still want to hang on after her husband’s statements referring to his mistress, "This was a love story." and "I met my soulmate," and then try to be noble by stating "I want to try and fall in love again with my wife."
He not only disgraced his wife by his actions and statements, he’s left her no diginity while the whole country watches.
No, I think he knew what he was doing, he wants her to leave, to be the one who walks out.

The Sisterhood of the Vanishing Paystub, by Sally Koslow
To James- I hear you, that we shouldn’t be so selfish as to think we are way above and now lowering ourselves to something less just to get by, but it’s the truth. In better days we would have never considered a lessor salon, eatery, dry cleaner, etc. As such I have been able to see first hand why we paid more for something better. Everytime I have to scale down to something less than what I was used to, I’m reminded of that movie from the ’80s, Arthur when Dudley Moore tells Liza that if he’s stripped of his wealth, they would have to eat cheap disgusting food.
Since (my own experience with pink slip) having to economize, I either have to cook at home or, subjected to eating cheap disgusting food. No longer able to afford nice meals at great restaurants. But hey, that’s just one compromise I’m mentioning. The story "Little Pink Slips" tells it real.
Wanting less or spending less, still takes some getting use to even after 3 1/2 yrs.

Philip Markoff, Accused 'Craigslist Killer,' Is Medical Student Engaged to College Sweetheart Megan McAllister
I’m sure she is now reconciling (in her mind) the person with whom she was betrothed and expecting to make a life, whether she is capable of good judgment, why she may have been too forgiving of some of his actions, and why, oh why, has life played this cruel joke on her?
Valentino to Billy Norwich: I Feel Lucky to Have Left Fashion
I will never be able to buy a couture dress in this life time. Even less so now in todays economy, not even a re-tread on E-bay. I wonder what Mr. Valentino would say about that?
However, I do love beautiful things so at least I can admire his fashions in magazines.
