Golf-Hater Candice Bergen Weighs In
I worked at a golf course as a teen in the club house and I absolutly hate the game. A bunch of grown people hitting a ball with a stick into a hole, may be good excersise, may not be, look at the posture of most older players.
the PGA Womens group should have a Woman as the CEO, who cares if she’s straight or gay, not me, to each their own.

Who Would Play Candice Bergen?
An Older Sandra Bulock, she could bring the humor and emotion needed to portray the hell and heaven of my life.

Zera, I skimmed the article and missed where the art work came from, so I apologize on my comments about them.
I was happy to hear that the Pres. is donating the 1.4 million to charity, I think he’s doing the right thing. It wouldn’t look to good for the seated Pres. to accept such a large amount of money.
Pres Obama from what I’ve seen and heard truly cares about the people of the United States, but I honestly don’t think bailing out the banks and auto industry is fair to the over all public. Some have come back and said they wouldn’t be able to pay back all the money they borrowed, that’s money out of the pockets of the citizens of America. I’m one of many who’s lost their home to foreclosure, and it hurts to even drive by my old house when I go to visit my kids. I worked so hard on that house, my rose bushes have all been removed and all the bush’s I planted are gone, I can’t work anymore due to health, but if I could I’d make sure I would be able to buy another house. I hate putting my money in someone else’s pockets, and when you rent you can’t paint the place to fit your life, or plant flowers in your front yard. It’s like living with your parents and they say "As long as you live under my roof, you’ll do it my way", their way or the highway
So far all the things that have happened, stimulus package, bail outs, none of it affected me and I don’t see anyone in my neighborhood who got help of any kind. Most have lost their jobs and unemployment is running out and their are no jobs to be found. America should take care of their own before helping everyone else. And one last point, why are we rebuilding the countries that we’ve been at war with, Japan, Korea, Viet Nam, and now the various countries in the middle east. I just don’t get it, we didn’t start any of those wars so why does the gov’t always spend our hard earned money on rebuilding those we are at war with. No one helped with Pearl Harbor, or 9/11, we took care of it on our own, with no help from anyone else.
Are you participating in any breast-cancer awareness events this month?
As a two time Breast Cancer Survivor I always participate in one way or an other. This yr my Son and his friends are having a concert and all the money will go for research at Bethesda Naval Hospital. My daughter and co workers are walking in my name (silly shirts, lol). I’ve convinced all my female siblings to get Mammogram (only one is under 40), I went and got the Brecka test (not sure of the spelling) to see if my cancers were genic or not, thank God they weren’t, which means I did not pass the Gene to my daughter and son.
When I had breast cancer in 04/05 I went through it with no family (siblings and mother) support of any kind, my friends were there for me 24/7. I left NY to get away from my family because of who they are and how they are and worse of all how they live their lives. I had cervical Cancer in 82/83 while I was pregnant with my beautiful son, (he’s strong and healthy), during this bout as with the Breast Cancer my family never even called.
If anyone I know ever gets any form of Cancer I will be there to help them through it and try to be the strength they need. Trust me you need someone strong to be there for you, I thank God for my BFF of 38 yrs she was my strength every step of the way, and my children they were there for me when I needed them.
Sorry didn’t mean to write a pity note, just a very sore/frightening topic for me.
To all those fighting, survivors, God Bless you and know were all fighting for a cure.

With the shrinking dollar, bailing out banks and car makers, and more families losing their homes and jobs, who’s paying for the paintings in the white house?? are they donated??? will the artist get a tax break for presenting them as gifts???? will we ever get paid back all the money the tax payers lent to the banks (who by the way are the ones who have caused the bankruptcy of so many Americans with their outrageous interest rates and other hidden fees). how many more children are going to go to bed hungry????
Where Health Care is concerned, all Americans deserve the same medical care that Congress and the Senate get, they have access to some of this country’s best and brightest and it doesn’t cost them a cent.
I know that when a President leaves office he receives a pension for the rest of his life, is that also true for Congress and the Senate????? Should someone who only served 4 yrs in office received a pension for the rest of their lives???? Even in the Military you have to serve over 20 yrs to get a pension, unless your disabled due to your time in service. What makes Politicians any better the Bill and Mary down the street????
Personally I don’t care what’s going on in any other country right now, there’s so much wrong with our own we need to be taking care of business at home and letting everyone else learn how to take care of their own.
It’s always America to the rescue, during wars, food, money, were always there for everyone else but what about the families in the Appalachian Mountains who still don’t have running water, some without indoor plumbing.
I’m all for lending a hand when needed but we need to take care of our own FIRST.
I ask these questions because I don’t know where else I can answers, or who to call to get the answers.

Lin, I said something like — It’s happened to me where I’d respond and my point of view wasn’t received very well, and then I’d get a bunch of nasty emails or not to happy response to whatever it was I’d said.
I’ve come to a point in my life where I feel I’m entitled to say what I want, where I want as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone, or impugn someone’s name/person. I think it’s called Free Speech. But I’m tired of rocking the boat, so now I just keep it light :)
