Liz Smith: Whoopi Goldberg's Super-Smart 'Head Games' (Video)
Whoopi, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, "You’ve made me laugh, cry, and most important of all is think", I’ve seen and own most of your movies, and I watch them time and time again. Jumpin Jack Flash is my favorite followed by both Sister Acts, and less we forget Ghost (can’t watch it right now, to many memories and tears).
Everything you touch turns to Gold, you’ve got a great support group within your family and from what I’ve seen (pictures on the view) and heard, you’ve been blessed.
No one can ever take your place in my heart as one of the Greatest Gifts God has given this planet. You care, and you show it, not just to those you know but those you reach out to through your actions.
God Bless you Whoopi and thank you for all you’ve done.
A Fan for Life, Deni

What do you think accounts for a recent report by Time magazine that women are less happy than they were 40 years ago?
Fools Rush In, by E.D. Hill
Leigh currently 50 %, but after all that’s occurred since the Breast Cancer and my current state of flux with my IBS, reflux, and regrug which have been determined secondary to the original cancer I will be 80 - 100%. Due to the following, I’ve been labeled 100% disabled according to Social Security Disability. I don’t deal well under stress and get so sick I can’t be far from the "Throne Room", I’m extremely limited to what I can eat and drink without getting sick. I can’t make plans for anything unless I make sure I don’t eat anything for at least 24 hrs before either a trip to the Doc’s, or visiting my children. I do get a disability check from the VA but it doesn’t even cover my rent.
It was and is my pleasure to do whatever I can in support of my Country and fellow Americans. I still Love the Navy, it changed my life in so many wonderful ways, I am a military bratt and am proud of my families Military History, I’m third generation Military Brat myself. The only Reason I didn’t choose the Marines like my father was because I love the Water and their boot camp was much eaiser then the Marines :)

I’m on Medicare and I pay into it every month as I did when I was working, I don’t work now due to disabilities from being in the Navy. As a female you don’t hear much about disabled female VETS, you hear the term Disabled Vet and you assume it’s a man. I have to pay for 1/2 of my meds (which is a lot) and my income is small. I have had a hard time finding a decent place to live (just killed 6 mice in the last two wks, cat isn’t doing his job), and I wish to God I could work, but I can’t. Stress of any kind can send me running in to the Throne room or bed, sicker then a dog who ate chicken bones, unable to stand without pain. Social Security didn’t hesitate in granting me disability because all my medical records showed that I just had had enough and my body couldn’t handle the stress of Working, Raising a Family (basically alone) and a cheating husband. I held out until my kids were adults and after 9/11 I had to have surgery on my neck at Bethesda Naval Hospital and was told that’s it, you can’t work any more, I was only 46 yrs old.
I don’t know how their going to fix health care but without my Medicare and the VA Hospital I’m poop out of luck, I can’t afford to get a supplemental policy from AARP, if I did I wouldn’t be able to eat.
I just hope they come up with something that is fair to the people who are the back bone of this country, the working class, who fight everyday to keep food on the table and give their kids a good life.
One thing I can take pride in is my Children, they wanted for nothing, I worked two jobs sometimes to make sure they had what they needed and I could afford to give them what they wanted (some of it), and now they are adults and extremely responsible and doing very well for themselves, they make more money in one yr then I did in two.
So lets keep our fingers crossed for a common grown that won’t break the backs of Every American.
Candice Bergen on What Destroyed Our Attention Spans
Candice I found this to be true when I was a Working, Full Time Mother, you had to multi-task to get things done. But now I do what needs to be done when it needs to be done and go when I want to go (where ever), and I can sit and talk with whom ever I wish for as long as we wish.
I don’t like being retired, (unable to work), but it has it’s upsides too, like being able to get in the car and visit the Kids on a minutes notice, or helping someone out because you can and want to.
I’m only in my early 50’s and God knows how much longer i’ll be around, but I’ll spend that time it helping those I can and enjoying what this earth has to offer.

Golf-Hater Candice Bergen Weighs In
I worked at a golf course as a teen in the club house and I absolutly hate the game. A bunch of grown people hitting a ball with a stick into a hole, may be good excersise, may not be, look at the posture of most older players.
the PGA Womens group should have a Woman as the CEO, who cares if she’s straight or gay, not me, to each their own.

Who Would Play Candice Bergen?
An Older Sandra Bulock, she could bring the humor and emotion needed to portray the hell and heaven of my life.
