I understand Palin was popular in Alaska because every citizen there get’s a check from oil revenues every year. Now that oil revenues are down—all the stuff is hittin the fan now & she’s not so popular.

But the Bush dynasty has only helped the elite rich—no one can name even ONE thing the Repubs did for the common man during Bush yrs. On the oher hand, the Kennedy dynasty is as close to helping the common man as we have come to expect in this country so far. Bottom line, if you’re not a member of the elite rich—then the more Kennedy’s in office, the better.

Palin & her family became the public’s business when she marketed herself to the Republican party as their VP nominee & was chosen. She wanted to be famous & now she is—political families are fair game. Especially when you consider she could have been our president

The media bias WAS extreme—giving McCain a free ride & slamming Obama for every little thing—like days of musing over whether or not he is patriotic because of his lapel pin.

Palin didn’t protect her children in ANY way! When she began getting booed & getting threats (while she was fomenting hate in the crowds to want to kill Obama), she began to drag her little children on stage with her—so people would be nicer to her because her kids were there & she didn’t even consider she was putting them in danger—from weirdos who might shoot or whatever—she used them as a shield to protect herself!. I remember at the time thinking that was low & the sure sign of a poor mother—using her own kids & putting them in danger just to make her own life easier.

I wonder if Palin’s daughter made the deal to sell her baby’s pictures for $300,000 on her own—before the baby was born? That would explain why she didn’t want to marry the father—just yet.

The all time name that takes the cake for me is “Void” as a first name. I asked how he got this name & he said his parents couldn’t decide…

I’ve read a lot about this subject Catherine. And it IS unfortunate—for the rest of the world—that they insist on this insane fighting & continue to inflict their sickness on us—over ALL these years! Many Jewish groups are also ashamed & want it to stop. But the leaders of Israel & the members of AIPAC here in America—refuse. It’s like Bush invading countries against the wishes of Americans. The insanity just goes on year after year.

Hamas originally killed TWO Israelis—two—& that is their excuse for reining down huge bunker busters, guided rockets that they KNOW will kill & injure hundreds—& half of the people in Gaza are children. Hundreds have been killed & its near 2,000 injured—while Palestinians have no hospitals left that have not been bombed to care for them. Israel has gone way past “protecting their citizens”—they’re attempting genocide. If ya can’t move em all out—then kill em all. Israel has been enforcing a bloackade against the Palestinians—starving them for so long that their people have been dying for lack of meds etc. Not to mention the wall they built with our $3 BILLION a yr in aide they get—The UN declared it was a humanitarian crisis—& that was before the bombing. The muslims hate Israel & also the US for all this.The clerics are asking for & getting suicide bomb volunteers against Israel & the US as we speak. Israel has nukes from us & is the 4th largest military power in the world—thanks to us. Israel is like a little baby bear up on its haunches, roaring at the world, wanting to fight. The only reason the world is scared is because mama bear (the US) is standing behind them. As I said, even Jewish groups themselves—FOUR of them—have come out & said it’s wrong & to stop. Dennis Kucininch has written a letter to the UN sec general asking about war crimes for what Israel is doing since iis against Geneva Conventions because they are punishing an entire people—civilians—for what a small number of military did. Israel pretends to be all for democracy but when the Palestinians voted in a democratic electon & elected members of Hamas to rule them—Israel bombed & killed the members of Hamas. The world will never have peace until Israel TRULY gives up it’s RELIGIOUS conviction that Israel belongs to them only—they must share Israel like the nations of the world decided they should in 1948. Until they do—-It’s Israel that is the aggressor, the bully here, & is causing all this upset. Israel must be stopped—the rest of the world has had enough of this nonsense. SHARE ISRAEL LIKE THE UN TOLD YOU TO DO BACK IN 1948!

It’s odd that people argue over who is a negro & who is black because black people in the US are actually a mixture of white, black & whatever, & many white people are also a mixture of white, black & whatever—whether they know it, or acknowledge it, or not. Look at Obama, for instance. I don’t believe this subject is upsetting to anyone because I have 2 black friends & they talk about it sometimes—along with a lot of other things! It’s funny. In the late 80s, I used to work where clients had to be asked what race they were & the clerks had to mark it down—some of our clerks were white & some were black. Some clients, who obviously looked “black”, said they were “white” & vice versa. The clerks didn’t know what to put. The clients did not appear to be messing with us—they would passionately explain just why it was that way. After some discussion, we decided to just mark down whatever the mother said she was, no matter what they looked like. Maybe this decision should have been obvious to us from the start—but it wasn’t back then. The point is—all this racial hatred some groups promote, like the Republicans do for instance, is even more ridiculous—& ridiculous in many more ways—than the obvious one.

You do have a point re the federal financing limits. Obama opted out after he had said he wouldn’t. Obama raised somewhere near $600 million during his campaign, of which $260 million were donations less than $200—way more than McCain raised.. However, in Obama’s defense, he probably would not have won without the big money—which was a good reason to decide to take it. Remember John Kerry? He had no money left to defend himself when the Republicans “swiftboated” him. Obama learned from that & didn’t want it to happen to him.The only thing they could get on Obama was the minister & the Ayres thing. He had plenty of money to fight them, so it didn’t work. It is a shame to waste that much money on advertising in our presidential campaigns, we will need to legislate reform if it ever happens—but our legislators are not going to do it for obvious reasons, unless we push them to. You’ll never hear much about it from our US media—because they are the ones benefiting from all the expensive TV ads! BIG TIME! They say that during election years, the stations buy new cameras & equipment with all the extra money & generally refurbish.

ANYBODY who is intelligent, knowledgeable, honest & a true democrat is a good candidate for the senate—as far as the People go. It doesn’t matter if they have experience or not—they’ll figure it out—it’s not rocket science & she’s from a political family. The fact that Caroline is famous, people love her, & she can pull down a lot of money for future campaigning is a plus for the party. The other dems & repubs are afraid of her (thus the propaganda push to run her down), because she can’t be bought & she has star power—if she does well, she could be the next pres. I feel terrible for John Travolta & his wife. Scientology is no more weird than the other belief systems people live by. It doesn’t matter if it’s a “religion” or not—it’s their belief system.
