Whoopi Goldberg: 'I Was Raised to Think That Anything Was Possible in America'
Dear Whoopi,
I have always found you to be a great source of inspiration. Your talent, your success, everything about you is inspiring. As for "The View," you’re the only reason I like that show because you say all the things I’m thinking.
I was moved by your comments about voting only as recently as 1968. In 1967 interracial couples couldn’t even get married. How horrible a thought that that was once illegal. It boggles the mind. As a Lesbian I understand the struggle some Americans still face just to try and enjoy their Constitutionally guaranteed Rights, and the amazement at which I watch the changes happen slowly but surely.
Keep up the good work. You are a great gift to us all.

Is Three in the Bedroom One Too Many? Maybe Not!
Is Three in the Bedroom One Too Many? Maybe Not!
There’s a magnet on my fridge that sums up the lack of details, "Yes, we’re Lesbians. No, you can’t watch." LOL
However, what I can say is that for a person like me who is not interested in a "traditional" relationship, but has a deep need to love and support, this is perfect for me. If the energy is right it can be an extremely beautiful thing.
The energy between the three of us was amazing the very moment we all first met. As our friendship grew and we realized that so much of our lives intertwined and so many of our interests overlapped and the energy was so off the charts we fell deeply in love. So afraid of damaging this wonderful friendship we were so afraid of taking it to something deeper and more personal until the elephant in the room could no longer be ignored.
We are like a family and, in fact, we all know each other’s family. The relationship covers the entire spectrum of any relationship, it is not purely sexual. In fact, the sexual part is just a bonus as the rest of the relationship is so much more important.
I am like a balance of both of them. One is Stone Butch and I can enjoy motorcycle maintence and gun range visits with "him." While my very very fem side loves snuggling on the couch watching a chick flick with "her." The dynamics are the same as any other relationship but I think it is made stronger by adding this additional dynamic to it.
By next year we will probably have to ignore the newest elephant in the room and begin all living together. The comments about it have already begun.
In a nutshell, if all parties are equally in love with and respectful and supportive of each other. A three-way, or polyamorous, relationship is possible, beautiful and healthy. I wholeheartedly support "three in the bedroom."

Ganging Up on Carrie Prejean – Mr. wOw Is Not Amused
Belinda I lov you! Well written, to the point and accurate. Mr. WOW got it completely wrong with this article.
I also wish people would start speaking the truth for a change. She was let go for not doing her job, not her views. Hey, Ms. Prejean, welcome to the real world. When you don’t do your job guess what? You get fired!
Again, Wonderful post Belinda!
Are you like your mother?
While I look like my mom, which was an eerie feeling when I was in my 30s, I am nothing like her. THANK GOODNESS!!!
Muslim Woman Sues Michigan Judge for Ordering Her to Remove Head Scarf (Video)
Muslim Woman Sues Michigan Judge for Ordering Her to Remove Head Scarf (Video)
Well then, in keeping with my original thinking, No, she should not have been allowed to wear the head covering of her habit. And yes, you are so right, that was an even BETTER reason do deny her permission to do so.
Here’s the Liberal in me reappearing. While I do not agree with the Muslim woman’s case, I also do not agree with the Nun being allowed to wear the headdress of her habit. In a Court of Law all things should be, are supposed to be, equal. So, no matter your manner of dress or religious belief well, tough, take it off if you want to plea your case to the Court.
I am against the Muslim woman AND I am against the Nun being allowed to wear her head covering.
Muslim Woman Sues Michigan Judge for Ordering Her to Remove Head Scarf (Video)
I have no comment or explaination as I have no details or knowledge of this case.
However, if her identity was in question and she had something on her head (do nuns wear things on their head?) then yes, she should have taken it off if the Judge asked and no her religious beliefs would not have been violated. It’s a court of law. People need to start relearning some respect.
I’m not a Muslim or a Christian but if I was in a court of law and I wore something on my head to show my devotion to an invisible being floating in the sky and the Judge requested I remove it then I would remove it.
As fer people in the audience. I don’t care what they are wearing. Let’em all wear Burqa’s for all I care. LOL.
Muslim Woman Sues Michigan Judge for Ordering Her to Remove Head Scarf (Video)
Very Liberal me has to side with the Judge on this one. Her hajib was hindering positive identification for a legal matter that required her positive identification.
If she wins her lawsuit where does it end? What if she was wearing a Burqa? Anybody could be under one of those offensive things and nobody would know.
Furthermore, if I went to a Muslim country I would be required to wear a hajib. Why? That’s the law as dictated by the culture. I would not complain and make a stink because i chose to go there. This woman chose to come to the United States where the culture and laws are different and as such she should respect them.
Her religious freedoms have not been violated and I am really getting sick of stupid cases like this.
Has there ever been a presidential election wherein you didn't exercise your right to vote?
The last election for me was casting a vote for the better candidate and not the lesser of two evils for the first time in my life.
Sadly, The President is now greatly disappointing me in his handling of Lesbian and Gay rights. With the stroke of a pen he can end the vile DADT and let good men and women serve their country. I would also like to see our Equal Rights, not "Special" rights, become a reality and he’s not making me feel hopeful about accomplishing that either.
What is the most dangerous thing you have ever done?
