Most offices have no porn policies.  Plus he is not doing his job.  But I certainly wouldn’t grin and bear it.  Most agencies wouldn’t tolerate that kind of working environment.  I would tell them about the place and ask for another assignment.   If the agency won’t do anything about it go to another agency.  You are not a slave and you shouldn’t be treated with disrespect.

Well no wonder everybody is stressed and tired.  People don’t know how to be quiet anymore.  I plug my ears whenever I go out because people are yelling into their cells, there is constructon noise everywhere, kids are running around screaming or wailing because their mothers won’t control them, people honking because they are stuck in traffic, etc, etc.  I walk so I have to watch what drivers doing when crossing the street because they certainly don’t.  They’re on their cell phones.  If you manage to get their attention they look at you as if you’re crazy.  There are too many distractions that people are taking into their lives without thinking about the consequences.  We don’t need to twitter every mundane detail.  We don’t need to tell each other that we’re on the bus.  The phone was intended for important communication not all the blather that goes on today.  Meditation is the art of being quiet and still.  People, take it up before it is too late.          

This is the worst kind of abuse.  I temped with a few agencies years ago and was never mistreated or subjected to horrible office environments as described in these posts.  Frankly, I would raise it with the placing agency and request another assignment.

My first rule when in a hotel, keep the curtains closed and don’t change in front of sheers with the lights on.  Female commentators in men’s sports are usually just window dressing no matter how good they are.  I recently read that they don’t promoted and there is no real future for them.     

Speaking of which, I don’t care for the weather title of Really Bad Hair Day or Good Hair Day.  This is a site for women but my first priority is not my hair.

There is an episode in Frazier where Roz meets a cute guy and tells Frasier she’s interested.  She finds our that he’s a gynecologist.  She says she couldn’t possibly go out with him knowing what he does all day.

I see a totally self-involved loafer.  Does he have any good qualities?  Don’t have that 4th baby.  You have enough responsibilities already.  Best wishes.

I’ve never been all that crazy about the bailouts for AIG, Citicorp, etc.  That many of President Obama’s appointees come from corporate culture and they helped their firms get taxpayer money is rather unseemly.  Matt Taibbi of Rolling Stone has written some scathing articles about how the money got delt out.  Now that some of those companies are announcing incredible profits while jobs are to find is a serious disconnect.  President Obama’s election is the greatest political event of my lifetime.  Don’t give up on him.  It is early days.  Al Franken is finally in the Senate.  Slowly but surely things will get better.    

I read that she had breast cancer at the time of her insemination.  I totally don’t understand how a woman of her age could decide to have children knowing that she was seriously ill.  I not passing judgment I just don’t understand.  Don’t candidates for insemination go through medical and psychological tests to determine their eligibility for the process?  Aren’t there medical ethics for these situations?  A very strange and sad story.   

Dear Ms Cohen:  Doctors don’t know everything.  You were totally unprepared to be pregnant.  Given your circumstances I totally understand how you felt.  There is nothing wrong with wanting your baby to be healthy.  You were afraid for yourself and your baby.  You made a very brave decision.  Women have the right to choose.  I commend your courage in sharing your story with us and your daughter.  Best wishes.

Taking a picture of anyone who is dying is wrong.  II don’t want to see it.  Everyone is entitled to dignity.

Dear DBTR,

What your spouse is doing is totally unacceptable.  He is putting you and the children at risk.  If he doesn’t realize this, there is something wrong with him.  Please find a way out as soon as possible.  Best wishes.     

Ms Torres is incredible!  At age 42 this is an amazing achievement.  She is a truly gifted swimmer.
