Where are you putting your money? Stocks? Bonds? Real estate? Under the mattress?

CNN did a story on the Military and Money. I wonder how many of you are military wives or have had experience with the military lifestyle.

Where are you putting your money? Stocks? Bonds? Real estate? Under the mattress?

I’ve been pretty lucky with health insurance Joan. I grew up in the military and married a military man, but since 1981 I’ve been on the civilian side. I have health insurance but it could be better. The one thing I don’t what is someone in the insurance company to be telling me what doctor to go to or what meds to take.

Let's Balance This Obama Thing Out

Good point Lorraine. I really agree. When it come to my country. I’m an American first.

Let's Balance This Obama Thing Out

Whoopie, That’s a good one. I think race and religion is the problem with this country. Sen. Obama has a right to listen to who he wants because he is an American. Reverend Wright has a right to say what he wants because he is an American. As an American White Woman I what to see change. I wouldn’t listen to Reverend Wright any more than Jim Baker or Jimmy Swaggart. But If Joal Olseen ever fell from grace it would break my heart. People may change their minds about what they say and can be forgiven. Words will hurt you and the people around you. Think before you speak is a good thing to remember. Stupid things have come out of my mouth, but if it leads to change for the good I think Reverend Wright should just keep talking. I saw Swaggart on TV just the other night.

'Always Running as if I Could Be Fired at any Minute'

I agree Ginny! In this life you either win or lose. It doesn’t mean you’re a bad person for losing or winning. I’ve learned fear really holds many people back.

Star Signs for the week of March 17, 2008

The Full Moon makes us all a little crazy.

If you knew your husband cheated on you, would you divorce him?

No. Divorce is not for me. I Love my husband and vowed for better or worse. The first time I could forgive him, the second time we’d work harder, the third time he’d live the rest of his life regreting it. Our marriage is more than just a roll in the hay.

'Always Running as if I Could Be Fired at any Minute'

I’ve never been fired. There are many powerful people in this country that I’d like to see fired. I believe you have to care about those who work for you and those you work for to succeed.

What Anthony Minghella Gave to the World

I didn’t know Anthony either but I knew of him and admire his work. He will be missed.

Where are you putting your money? Stocks? Bonds? Real estate? Under the mattress?

I like real estate and stocks if you have the money. If not, I’d like to suggest a great book by Larry Winget. Its title is You’re Broke Because You Want To Be. Saving money is really the difference between what you need and what you want. I think its a great book, easy for anyone to read and understand. I would really recommend to young people. Even teenagers.

What Has More Muscle: Movies or Media?

I would love to see Phil Donahue on TV again. I am tired too of all of Dr. Phil’s cry baby guest begging him to fix their problems. I’d also like to see reruns of That Girl! Marlo I think you should host SNL with Phil Donahue ofcourse. I think it would be funny. I’d love to see the things the SNL writers could come up with. If people don’t like what they are seeing and hearing through the media they should find the off button and read a history book. The movies are just entertainment. It’s amazing how far special effects have come. I don’t always believe everything I see or read.

'A Friend Stopped By' With Suzy Welch

Death can be a difficult subject to discuss. Most people I know fear death. These same people seem to fear life as well. I believe we all get a ride on the merry-go-round of life and some get off before others. The next ride could be a wild rollercoaster or a boat ride through paradise.

"If You Must Accept Clothing from Strangers, at Least Don’t Put it On"

I believe if Senator Clinton can turn a blind eye to what her husband was doing for many years (Monica was not the first) then she could turn a blind eye to many of the things that are going on in the world. I don’t know for sure but Senator Obama appears to be bi-racial. Does anyone know for sure? Clothing is optional. I don’t care what they wear as long as its clean and they take a bath.

Life in the Little Lane: Edith Ann on the Falling Dollar

Dollars? I have a coin purse full of Susan B’s. I get a great laugh from watching the reaction of the cashiers when I hand them 10 or 20 of them. Enjoy the smore’s now Edith Ann. When you grow up you’ll just think their fattening and messy. Besides the adults have taken the fun out of it because you can buy them already made and mircowaveable. I like them best with a campfire.

Chills in the Hot Sun

My momas third husband was 20 years younger, her fourth is 13 years younger. She likes the young ones and they like her. I’d Love to read more of Ms. Dawsons adventure
