What Is It About Adam Lambert? by Allegra Huston

Thanks to Janet for posting the Myers-Briggs rundown. Now that you’ve reminded me of the P v. J difference, I’m going to conclude that Adam is a P, for sure. I think he even recently said that who knows what would happen in the future; he might even stop wearing eyeliner. He was open to anything! So very P.

My whole family is filled with J’s. They make the trains run on time, but they tend to miss what happens along the way. I’m more of a P—definitely, but even then, I don’t think I’d want to go to Burning Man. I know some people who have gone, and it sounds like it requires too much physical deprivation. I need running water, toilets, and a hot bath at night.

I finally found my copy of RS at Barnes and Noble this weekend; I had been checking every day since the middle of last week because I didn’t know when it would get there. I didn’t have the guts to ask them to save a copy for me. So, I checked on Friday, no copy.

I then went back on Saturday afternoon, and there were only three copies of the new RS left. (Lady Gaga had been sitting there the day before with at least 10 leftover copies from the month before). I grabbed two and then two teenage girls rushed over and grabbed the last copy—exclaiming "he’s sooo hot!"—while simultaneously pouring over the photograph. They took the last one and then they were gone!

Too funny!

Does anyone want to start a discussion of Myers-Briggs personality typing?

I find it fascinating. I think that Adam is either an ENFJ or an ENFP. Probably ENFP, but I’m not sure. Adam has made so many comments indicating that he’s an extrovert (loves going to clubs, meeting people, talking with them, networkin), so he’s definitely an E.

I also think he’s an intuitive feeler (NF)! This guy makes decisions based on his feelings and the feelings of others. You can see it in all of his interactions with other people, his interviews, and even that adorable photo Gloria posted the other day of him hugging Allison. Sigh  … Adam also mentioned that one of his favorite behind the scenes memories was sitting down with some of the other contestants and talking about life and sharing their feelings with each other. Very NF of him to say that!

I’m an intuitive thinker (and not an intuitive feelder) so as an adult, I’ve really grown to love those intuitive feelers. They make your heart feel so warm!

Like I said—not sure about whether he’s a P or a J. Probably a P. He’s open to new experience. J’s prefer closure and decisiveness. Adam is decisive. Maybe somebody else could better analyze the P v. J difference. I’ve gotta get back to work here.

Anyone know what I’m talking about and want to comment?

I couldn’t find a copy of RS at the bookstore today at lunch. Boo! There were PLENTY of leftover Lady Gaga magazines from last month, however.

Tomorrow …

I have a website for my business, a blog, and a strong online presence for my business (I’m a lawyer), so I am well aware of what happens when your name gets out there, and people start googling you. Unfortunately, once pages get indexed by Google, it is really hard to get rid of them. That’s why I was careful to choose an "anonymous"name for this site.

To a large degree, I wouldn’t mind having my real name listed, but I just don’t want prospective clients finding my posts when they are considering retaining me as their attorney. Probably many of them are fans, but I’m not sure that reading my Adam Lambert comments is the best first impression!

For example, just this morning a propsective rainbroker sent me a lunch invitation based on a google search she did, and we are now getting together in a few weeks. Hey, maybe we’ll talk about Adam (who knows), but it’s a little early in the conversation for that!

I went to the local drugstore last night to look for Rolling Stone, but the Lady Gaga issue was still there. It’s dated today, so I think that means that the new issue should be out by now.

Hope so! I’m about to take a lunch break and go hunt for a copy. I’m in the Chicago suburbs, so I don’t think they’ll all sell out, but you never know.

I’ve already read the article online. Thanks to the poster here who posted the link to the online version. Apparently, someone typed out the entire article and then posted it.

Wow! Thank you!!

Loved the article and the cover, but I think that his arms and head position were a little off in the picture. Great concept—the snake, the butterfly, the belt, so cool. I just thought the position of the upper half of his body was a bit akward—the bottom half was just fine (insert smile here) … .

Glad he revealed all. He really had to, don’t you think? The press was hounding him; he doesn’t want to lead a dishonest life; so he had to get it all out there. Everything was great, but I don’t like the drug use AT ALL. Hope he’s done with that. I just don’t want him to do anything that might compromise his amazing voice! Take care of yourself, Adam!

Now, off to lunch and the magazine racks …

Just before I developed my obsession (some time back in February), I got a new IPhone—not knowing how much I would be using it in the coming months to watch everything Adam—videos, interviews, Google, etc. For the past couple of months, my IPhone has been my constant companion. I must have dozens of Adam searches saved and bookmarks to all the best videos and interviews. I’ve even been known to to watch videos under the covers at night if I can’t sleep! Is this sick or what?

I’m 42 years old; I have two kids, and I work as an attorney during the day. Last night my 9 year old son grabbed my IPhone from me and yelled to my husband: "Mommy is still watching Adam Lambert." He then looked me straight in the eye and said: "I thought when the show was done you would get your life back, but you are still obsessed!"

My husband just rolled his eyes. He doesn’t understand it ("Huh, that guy is gay, isn’t he??), but I know the rest of you understand! Adam makes me feel young—like I want to reconsider my career choice of attorney and instead be a rock star (if you knew me you’d know that was NEVER a possibility!).

I’ve been debating whether to get tickets to the summer show, but I don’t know who would go with me. Do I really want to spend all that money to take my kids with me (when they don’t really care that much), or do I go by myself? I don’t know anyone close by who would love to go, although I’m sure there are many. Besides, I’d probably just get irritated by all the other singers (except Allison and Kris) and spend the whole time waiting for the real star of the show. I’m definitely looking forward to all those pirated YouTube videos the fans will post during the summer tour. If you are going, record it all and post!! Please! It will help me last until his album comes out.

Can’t wait for the ALL ADAM ALL THE TIME concert! I’ll be there!!
