Do you see that word MAY? They’re talking about projections based on assumptions made by right wing economist as is the Foundry and CNN is reporting what these two wingnut organizations are saying.

They’re not facts they’re just more wingnut Bullshit. 

As far as the wars being Obama’s to stop, yes they are, but again you’re expecting him to clean up Bush’s eight year worth of distruction in one year.

He hasn’t. I don’t know where you got that information but I could probably guess and be in the neighborhood.

What republicans still fail to take into account are the 10 billion per month they were spending on the war and never included in their budget figures. When you look at the "official" figures that are floating around out there for the Bush budget deficit those 10s of billions (make that hundreds of billions in reality) aren’t in many of them that come from right wing sources.

As usual, you’re wrong. What some of the voters here in Virginia sadly responded to was their frustration that President Obama hasn’t succeed in one year to clean up the disastrous economic mess that the past 25+ years of republicanomics has created in the country.

They were bombarded for months with ads sponsored by health care industry and NRA lobbies that made it sound as if all the problems in this country were caused in the last year and forecasting further disasters if we let the Democrats continue to "tax and spend" or to take away "our second amendment rights", and yada yada yada. The same tired, deceitful bullshit that the republicans have  used as catch phrases for the last 25+ years.

The there were still the ignorant red neck voters who don’t take the time and trouble (or don’t know how) to really find out what’s a candidate really stands for and rely on wingnut propaganda hucksters like Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity for their information. 

I understand what you’re saying Joan and agree completely. I remember hearing Barbara Walters tell a story of being there and inadvertently sitting in a restaurant on the side that is reserved for "men only". She was told she would have to move to the "private room for women". She also wore a scarf when in public.

I see no reason why we should have to show respect for something we have no reason to respect but in Hillary’s case I defer to her better judgement on things diplomatic. She has much more to be concerned about when dealing with that part of the world than fashion and I’m sure defiance of their culture wouldn’t serve her well in matters of diplomacy.

They want to keep government out of our lives, RIGHT!!

They want a substance more harmless to health than tobacco and less addictive than alcohol to be illegal.

BUT, they don’t want the semi-automatic weapons used by the dealers of illegal drugs to be illegal. 

(Now what do you suppose kills more people, marijuana or the guns that the dealers use?)

If a woman who has lost every other means of support turns to prostitution it’s immoral and illegal and she should be arrested.

BUT, they don’t want any government services to be offered to that woman so that she doesn’t have to resort to that life.

(Now what do you suppose costs them more in the long run, the law enforcement and judicial process costs and correctional housing and medical care of that woman or a few months of social services to help her get out of the rough spot?)

Oh, they don’t want goverment in our lives if it’s to provide actual benifits to our country. They just want it to enforce their twisted "morality" on all of us.

Yes, they absolutely are. Nobody is worth millions when the life of a sick child isn’t worth affordable health care.

You draw the line where corporate execs are allowed to get wealthy on the one thing that human beings ultimately have no real control over……….their health.

There is a lot people can do to prevent the preventable, but until we find a way to prevent all illness nobody should be allowed to gouge profits out of human suffering. No corporate health care facilities, not drug companies and certainly not insurance companies. These should in no way be for-profit industries. They should be non-profit organizations and if there is no other way to prevent greedy opportunists from taking advantage of other peoples’ suffering other than making them government run organizations so be it.
