She is not “just running” for Vice President. She is on the front line if McCain, at 72, is disabled. RUnning a small town in Alaska for a short time is not great training in my opinion. And less than 2 years as governor seems weak. Prior experience is as a hocky mom. WoW! And, after dumping the first wife, he chose a former beauty queen as a wife and now he has chosen another beauty queen. Seems like a trend.

I think that Palin is an intelligent and dynamic woman. I don’t agree with many of her positions, but I admire her energy. Too bad she is being used by McCain. BUt that’s his history. Find a useful younger woman and take advantage of her resources. Cindy was a victim of his and now he has Sarah. Shame on you, John McCain!

I’m watching the convention and seeing a lovely Chelsea Clinton. I am not a fan of Hillary - her lying about “Travelgate” showed me that she could not be trusted. But I remember hearing Rush Limbaugh for the first time, his nasty remarks about how ugly Chelsea was at age twelve. And then I did some research and saw him -fat, pussy and, to this day, an ugly man, in his appearence and his soul. Chelsea is a fine young woman. I hope she makes a good life for herself and rises above the morals of her parents.

You have all mentioned favorite programs of mine, but my favorite will always be “Evening Shade”. Such incredible talent and such wonderful characters. Has anyone found re-runs? Think Dub was my favorite!

Mugsy, The painting is huge, has incredible squares and rectangles of exciting color. The name is something like “Golden Door’. Last time I saw it there was a bench in front of it so I could just sit there and cry! Don’t know if it’s on line, but will have fun looking. Thanks for the suggestion. I’m a lucky woman. The first sound I hear most mornings are the cute little grunts and moans from my man, letting me know the start to our morning is going to be sweet! It’s nice to have the time and the leisure - our kids are grown and the cat isn’t allowed in the bedroom.

Music, art and nature. There have been nights and mornings on the beach when I have been moved to tears. I’ll never forget the sight of my late husband, naked and dancing for joy in the light of a full moon on a Carolina beach. Italian opera can fill my whole sole with joy and anguish. And there is a painting by Hans Hoffman at the Chicago Art institute which never fails to bring me to tears of joy. Gifts!

Hillary had the golden goose given to her when “THE PRESIDENT”, her husband, and handed over solving the health insurance problem. She failed miserably. Britanny Spears and the “girls” are pointless. No one who has any brains pays any attention to them. A good friend of mine was stabbed in the back by Hillary in “TravelGate”. She lied and ran for cover and let good people pay for it. Her Policy and performance speak for her , and she is a failure.

I was in a protest march on New Haven, Ct. green in 1970 - or was it 1969? The green was surrounded by the National Guard and I remember staring into the eyes of a young soldier holding a rifle which was pointed at me. We were probably the same age and I’ll never forget that moment. Who was right and who was wrong. Maybe we were both doing our duty as Americans.

Hillary Clinton is a disgrace to American women. She has no integrity and will lie about anything to win. Note - snipers at the airport! I sent her an e-mail this morning letting her know that I am a life long Democrat and will vote Republican if she wins the nomination. My fiance wanted to see my message so I went to my “sent” folder and it has disapeared. Amazing!
