I would say, “Thank you, Mr. President for bringing Hope back to this nation.”

Bee Lee, you have summed her up very accurately! I agree, the GOP as we speak are grooming, coaching and brainwashing her. But it doesn’t matter, because whatever they do to prop her up she still comes off as a dumb. People who are not true thinkers and who are not paying attention to the issues, find her appealing because she is cute, and to many white women, because she looks and sounds like them. When she speaks of “hockey moms, and joe six-packs” it maykes me shudder, becasue she is not speaking to or for women who look like me. I think Eleanor Roosevelt, who may not have been a beauty queen, but who was certainly brilliant, is rising up out of her grave with disdain.

First and foremost the concensus amongst my friends and others, is that Palin does not come across as a verbally intelligent woman. We are not impressed with the fact that she is Governor of Alaska. As a matter of fact, her ratings in that state have dropped considerably. She is a babbler who sounds like a valley girl.

Perhaps you can explain why when Palin was referring to Obama as “paling around with terrorists”, which is not true, and someone in the audience yelled “Kill him,” she did not bother to say how inappropriate such language is and that the campaign should not be about killing anyone. It is very clear that this race has now boiled down to race.

I am so glad to hear someone finally say that Hillary supporters are too smart to think that by mccain choosing a woman running mate, that would woo votes to his side. While I may not have been a Hillary supporter, Palin is not smart enough to even be in the same room as Hillary. I want to believe that when the dust settles the Hillary supporters who are disappointed that she was not chosen as Obama’s running mate will see pass the glitter of Palin and go with the substance of the Obama/Biden ticket.
