Why do someone’s comments on a topic or issue have to be left wing or right wing. Both lablels are used to dismiss opinions that are not liked. I find both labels offensive for that reason. A better approach is to provide an alternate view without attacking the individual’s opinion or statement.

I am facinated that many believe that Sarah Palin is what this country has been waiting for. Many of the things that Obama and family were vigorously condemed for are being celebrated in Mrs. Palin’s background. What is this seceding from the Union all about? How does that track with accusing Mrs. Obama of the “proud” statement. See the double standards at work here. She scares me. I am very concerned about allegations of favoritism and the miss use of political/govermental power. We’ve already experienced that in the last 8 yrs and it’s not favorable. I have been distressed at seeing them parade their newborn at the Republican convention like a sack of potatoes. No head covering and what was that all about. Sad and distressing to me. Forget politics. So she’s intelligent and can talk but can she be President of the USA at a moments notice-I say no. I say no, no her views are too restrictive. And I dont’ give a hoot that she can skin a moose, shoot a gun, or fish, etc. My mother can can food, kill snakes, grow food and put up preserves, raised 4 children in poverty very well, etc. Give me a break. The hypocracy in her grand ascendancy sto the national stage make me cry for all the more deserving women out there who are not a stage presence but have real substance. And what are her views on diversity in America. There’s a lot I want to know about her and what the Republican Party’s choice of her really means to Americans and those in the world that depend on us. Real judgement questions here.

My Cat. She seems to notice when I am in the awakening stage and pounces. If I can’t go back to sleep after 15 mins or so. I get up and take on some easy task. Like paying a bill or two, hanging up wayward clothes from the work week. That usually puts me back in the mood for a bit more sleep.
