It's the Abortion Issue, Stupid, by Mr. wOw
I so agree with you! All the people that are on a mission to save babies, forget about who is going to take care of them for the long haul of life. With the rise in children being born with disabilities it is horrible to bring a child into a world where there is no secure future for them do to medical problems, we know that it is 1 in 150 births and rising for Autism, and the other spectrum disorders out paces that number! People who think they are doing the right thing by helping to bring that little mass of cells into a baby, tend to forget that the baby needs a gurantee of a decent future.

L'Oréal Seeks to Award Women Making a Difference
I love the idea of women who change the world, I am nominating Chantai Snellgrove, creator of "Patenting Special Needs Magazine" after 11 years of experience with her "special child" she saw a need that had to be addressed, the magazine was created to raise awareness and to share information for everyone touched by a "special individual" in their life. Doctors, Therapists, Psychologists,Teachers, Parents, and Caregivers all contribute articles to the magazine. These are people who want to help make a difference. Most importantly the magazine is a free on line publication and receives 100,000 hits a month from all over the world, you can see that "ONE WOMAN CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
Why It's Cool to Move Your 94-Year-Old Mother in With You, by Ruth Charny
Denise, Not having time during the last 3 weeks to check WOW, today was like the spirits were giving me guidance. I to am in the process of moving my Mother 88 and My Dad 90 into my home, I am the only child of my Mother, my step Dad has a son in CA who visits Dad maybe once every 20 years, if Dad paid for him to come. Mom and Dad had been doing well living on their own! We had always told them they could live with us when the time came, the time is now! They are getting very fragile Dad can no longer drive and it’s time. My friends tell me I am an angel for doing this, I don’t think agree, I believe that this is a lesson in life for my Children and my Grandchildren. It has always been understood by my Mom and Dad that there would be no nursing home for them…..unless I could not manage their care at home anymore. I believe it has helped them to continue to live on their own up to this time. None of us know what the future will bring, I just want to do the best for them while I can. My hat is off to the writer of this article, it gives us all pause to reflect!
Maureen McCormick 'Marcia Brady' Helps Mentally Challenged Youth Find Friends
I am glad that she is helping to make a difference. I have a special needs grandchild, Kailee has mad a difference in our lives, but her Mother & Father have made a difference to many who have a special individual in their lives, They created a free on line magazine "Parenting Special Needs", the magazine comes out every other month, they receive over !00K hits from readers with each issue! The need for this type of help has been un-believable. She invites parents and siblings to share their stories that may help others with the challenges that they are faced with daily. My hat is off to Marcia, the difficulty of special kids making friends is an on going problem. Socialization is important for everyone at any age. You go Marcia!
Dear Margo: Yoo-Hoo! We All Hate Her!
Malache, Thank you for your compliment! (we have been away with a family emergency or I would have been back to you sooner) I guess one never gets done being a parent, many times I stumble around trying to figure out the best way to help. Sometimes it works, sometimes not so much. I’m blessed my children love me and look to me for advice, they don’t always follow it and thats a good thing because I am their sounding board and they have to lead their own lives and do that which best works for them.
Dear Margo: Yoo-Hoo! We All Hate Her!
Margo, We have the same situation in our family, NO ONE in the family likes our sons girlfriend! After 4 years rather then fight it we came to this decision… HE LOVES HER & IT’S HIS LIFE! We as a family have started over by accepting who he loves and support him by not finding fault and trying to see the good rather then ganging up on her and only seeing her faults. If they marry it is his decision to make not ours! I called his brothers & sisters and said "It’s his life, lets support him rather then create all this negativity about his choice.
President Obama presented his domestic policy to Congress last night. The speech was....
Marva Marva, I agree with you, I find that the tone most of the time is negative and hostile and very few people write things that are informative that allow us to grow and learn from them! I enjoy different peoples views, but please…. be positive and accurate and no name calling!
