Ted Kennedy: Fan of Universal Health Care and Compromise, by Liz Peek
CHardy - What is POTUS? I have the same question. Why can’t all of us be included in the Medicare/Medicade system? It is already set up. The government would just have to hire a few more people and there are people "out there" looking for jobs.
But there exist "fear-mongers" who are using this issue for their own benefit….and unfortunately people are buying into the fear.

C Hardy - "Thanks Deber - I have not been able to get an answer to that question since I started posting it…why do we need something new, why can’t we as Lady Gator said, Nip and Tuck what we already have? "
Answer: I am living the nightmare that you are anticipating with the new system, RIGHT NOW under the present system.

I can give you an answer from my personal experience.
I have health care coverage, car, house and business insurance. When I went for my "insurance check-up" with my insurance agent earlier this year, he was able to raise my coverage on my car, house and business insurance but was unable to raise the coverage on my health insurance, due to the fact that I had a heart attack, at age 60, two years ago.
I asked him a simple question: You are able to make sure I am well covered with all the "tangible assets in my life" but you can’t make sure "the person who is paying the insurance bills" is covered so that I can continue paying for insurance coverage? He told me I was lucky that I have the type of health insurance coverage (I"m self employed) that can’t cancel after a major medical event. Lucky? I have no prescription coverage, so I have a $200 a month "drug" habit with Plavix raising the cost of their pills from $126 per month to $158 per month, without any oversight to prevent their monopoly on the market.
That’s why so many of us are interested in changing the system. We have played by the rules all our lives and the insurance companies who have a monopoly are controlling the quality of our health care.

Are you like your mother?
I read a quote that said…..when women gather, they talk about their mothers.
After reading the quote, I have tried to refrain from wasting my time on "mother talks".
As the first born child, I fulfilled my mother’s dream of being a mother. After that, it was all downhill.

Perserverance - I think that’s a good word….too.
Through the reputation of his family, his personal reputation as a youth and holding the job of Senator in the US Congress, he perservered and became a Statesman.

Glass-Half-Empty Frame of Mind Isn't Good for Women's Heart Health
The glass is full of potential as well.
If we could look at the glass, water and air as full of potentiality, instead of different substances, and find the similarities of these three very different substances, this could become a metaphor for how one lives one’s life. Life become hopeful, joyful and full of grace.
Glass-Half-Empty Frame of Mind Isn't Good for Women's Heart Health
Glass - half empty or half full?
Why do we continue to use metaphors like this to perpetuate duality in our thinking. Why must this glass be half empty or half full when it is full of potential. The water in the glass holds potential of changing form and substance and the air above the water holds potential of changing form as well.
The glass is neither empty or full ——-it is Potential, Wholeness, Holiness of life (we both hold water and air in our bodies).
