At least there is one good thing coming out of all this controversy.  People are getting involved, whether they are behaving properly or not.  I don’t remember such an openness when we went to two wars and much intelligent discussion by the general public.  I remember the protestors, but they were isolated and called un-American.  I am loving the fact that Congressmen and Senators are hold Town Hall Meetings that are being well attended.  

Now, the real question is how can we establish our American culture where people look to find a common ground and can dialogue without yelling? 

I guess we have to start with the TV commentators and the television advertising executives who are setting up a culture of controversy, entitlement and lack of manners.  They are setting the examples which some members of our culture have adopted as successful behavior.   And some members of our culture are certainly setting a unstable example for the next generation.  Hopefully the next generation is taking notes and has decided that this behavior is inappropriate for an educated country like us.

I am fascinated by how people can be motivated so easily into distrusting other people.  The manipulation we are all watching on TV, is just beyond belief and the amazing part it is working.  I worry about the population who has bought into this mind-set and when they discover how they have been manipulated for reasons beyond their personal reasons, they are going to be so discouraged with the entire process.  

Margie ——-"and I don’t deserved to be called un-American for disagreeing with you or anyone else."  I didn’t write anything like this in my statement.  Please don’t put words in my mouth.  

And as it has been reiterated throughout this blog, the bill hasn’t even been completely written, nor voted upon, nor sent to the President’s desk.  We are still in the dialogue process"….and changes in the bill will probably happen through this process.  At least we are dialoguing.   

Margie - Why do you believe the White House would give the public misinformation?  Who do you trust more?  Who do you think would give you a better answer to all your questions?  Why would the White House’s motivation be other than telling the truth?

This is what fascinates me……why are people not trusting each other? 

What is the motivation behind these inaccuracies?  Why are these people on television behaving this way?  What is their pay-off?  I just don’t understand anyone in any leadership position creating information that causes people to distrust each other.   How can they sleep at night (the people dispensing the inaccuracies.)?

What is the purpose behind dividing this country into two camps?  How will these people on television benefit from sewing seeds of such distrust? 

Authenticity cannot be taught, it must be lived consciously.

Authenticity has been a goal of mine for many, many, many years.  For me authenticity is telling the truth, without insulting anyone, without stepping on any toes, without bullying.  Rather, authenticity is being true to oneself and expressing oneself with genuine compassion and communication.  I am the most authentic when I’m painting on a canvas and demonstrating my love of being "artist".
