What's one thing you can't live without?

Frank - My “comfort” has now returned home from his travels. Thanks.

What's one thing you can't live without?

Why, thank you kindly, Linda. That is the nicest compliment I have received in a long time!

What's one thing you can't live without?

Oh, Lily! Congratulations on this major decision. That IS a biggy! Right now it feels like the biggest of biggies! I am on day 10 and I know I am going to make it this time. The support here has made all the difference to me. And, since I was talking about the senses before, this makes the most “sense” of all. And I loved your comment on when you leave this universe. No one here gets out alive, right? So we better make it count while we are here.

If you were a rock star, who would you be?

Thanks, CA - Gotta love that song, dontcha? At a family reunion in Michigan, my brother and I played it (he on guitar, I sang) for my 80 year old uncle. He about fell off his chair. We also played “Parachute Woman” by the Stones. (“Parachute Woman, Land on Me Tonight”). It was fun and we were definitely going for the shock value ;-)

It’s all there in the senses, isn’t it Frank? Pretty simple stuff and yet oh so powerful over us mere mortal beings. Comfort to you, my friend.

Do you eat breakfast?

I do like my breakfast, a light one. Usually a small portion of cereal and blueberries or banana. But I can’t eat immediately upon waking - never could. I see that many others can’t either. So……water first, then coffee, freshly brewed. I think I am lucky not to have to rush in the morning :-)

Ahhh, wonderful Elizabeth. I love the “without concerning authorities” bits!! God knows what a toothy grin may elicit these days. Keep smiling! You are right, a smile is the best facial pick me up known to (wo)man - and it’s free!!!

What's one thing you can't live without?

I’ve been alone all week and this is what I’ve missed: The sound of the human voice, or one very special voice . That sweet whisper only for you. Touch. A sweet caress or a playful rub of the head. A punch to the arm for a silly joke you’ve heard countless times. The comforting end of day sensation as you spoon and drift off for the night. Smell . Inhlaling the pillow like it is your last breath. I promsed myself I would do better this time, and I did. I do not want to think about having to do it permanently.

Frank - I was going to ask you if Blondes no longer were having fun? !! I can hear “Embryonic Journey” playing as the soundtrack to this thread!! I saw what you were doing and loved it!

We Now Interrupt the Doom and Gloom

I see that!! I know how much goat herding in Greece means to you, so I was surprised at the change. It makes sense now. My internet was down for several days, so I think I missed the Edith Ann post. There was A LOT going on while I was incommunicado!! I am playing catch-up now.

Bbee Mine - Really? I mean, really? Your comment is offensive in so many ways. I’ll let you count them.

If you were a rock star, who would you be?

I’m late to this party because my internet connection has been down until this morning. I hope some of you are still out there! Since gender isn’t an issue, there is no question who I would be and that is Roger Daltrey, lead singer and cofounder of The Who. He can and has done it ALL. You want a rock ‘n roll scream: “Won’t Get Fooled Again”. Angry Youth Anthem: “My Generation”, “Going Mobile” (well maybe not so angry, but Hippy Gypsy, anybody?) . Need a pretty ballad? “Behind Blue Eyes” , “Bargain”, “The Song Is Over”. Funny? “Squeeze Box” : Mama’s got a squeeze box She wears on her chest And when Daddy comes home He never gets no rest ‘Cause she’s playing all night And the music’s all right Mama’s got a squeeze box Daddy never sleeps at night” And then there is the Rock Opera “Tommy”. Oh, yes, in my world Roger Daltrey is incomparable. The album “Who’s Next” has rightfully been named on many lists: Desert Island Albums, Have to Hear Before You Die, etc. And if the Rock ‘n Roll Gods don’t feel like granting me that fantasy, then maybe they will consider another: Ray Davies of The Kinks. Why? The opening notes of “You Really Got Me”. ‘Nuff Said.

We Now Interrupt the Doom and Gloom

Hi, Deni! I love your new avatar! At first I thought it was an odd telephone pole (apropos, since we are all “talking” here) but now I have it figured out! It spells “tree” :-)

While wearing it, what makes you feel sexiest?

Nicely said, Julie! Sets the imagination on a little journey down the road, eh? Commando style, yes indeed.

Have you ever stolen anything?

That’s right, you will be in good company!!! Read between the lines - and hang on :-) Isn’t pilfery a marvelous word?
