I remember Jerry Hall being from Mesquite, TX (near Dallas).  A friend of mine was in the class behind her.  Dallas paper would often mention her when she came to town to visit her family. I remember seeing Jerry on Phil Donahue when she was pregnant with oldest child - she seemed bright but I never could see the attraction toi Mick Jagger who she kept sayingwas so good looking.

Watched Joy Behar’s new talk show last night and I was impressed.  I liked that she had 2 guests of different viewpoints discussing topics. Looking forward to seeing more shows. I often watched Joy host the Larry King Show and thought she was able to handle the job. 

Ann Richards was one of a kind indeed! Holland Taylor is the perfect person for this project.

Oops, Correct my English …"no one stands up."

Yesterday I participated in the Orange County Race for the Cure.  I stayed to watch the survivors walk and to listen to the speakers.  Every year it gets to me to see new survivors, women with 1 year or less, so many still with shorn hair.  During the prsentation they introduced a 100 year old woman, 22 year survivor and her granddaughter who was diagnosed this year; a man who was diagnosed this year; a ten year old girl who was diagnosed this year.  Someday we will find the cause and the cure. It will be so wonderful to attend the walk and when they ask for a show of hands of people with 1 year or less  no one stood up.

Bonnie O, Berkelely area is beautiful - I love going up there to visit my daughter at the university.  Several years ago an historical tree in Austin , TX (called the Treaty Tree) was poisoned.  I know they tried to save it but at least part of the tree did die.  It is sad when someone(s) would do something so horrible to our environment.

Janice, Could not agree with you more!  I have a son and yes, I did educate him about how to treat other people (he has 3 sisters so I constantly brought up "would you like to see your sister treated this way, your mother, etc).  At my youngest daughter’s hs they changed the uniform from skirt to skort because there was a problem with too short skirts, boys looking up the skirts, etc.  All the blame was put on the girls - I never heard "boys quit looking up the girls skirts on the staircase".  It really hit me that the attitude was that males cannot control their urges - puleeze!!

FYI He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

I thought Liz Smith, Candice Bergen and Whoopi said it all when they equated The View to WOWOWOW. It took awhile for The View to catch pn and I still have high hopes for this site.  The premise is good…..
