The New Text-Messaging Guidelines, by Sybil Adelman Sage

I agree. I don’t think it is just a younger generation thing - how many times have you been with someone your age and they text or answer phone while talking with you?

The New Text-Messaging Guidelines, by Sybil Adelman Sage

Judy, Completely agree with you.  I just can’t believe people don’t think  the phone is distracting.  It really makes me mad when I am driving and I see someone on the phone.  If it is the only good example I passed on to my kids- I never answer my phone while driving.  If one of my kids are with me they will answer and explain why I didn’t.

What is the one question you would ask Whoopi Goldberg if you had the opportunity to sit down with her?

Tell us your story.  I love how your silence speaks volumes on The View.

What is your favorite restaurant in the entire world? If you could visit it today, what would you order?

John G,  My daughter attends UC Berkeley, thanks for the recommendation of Cafe Rouge.  The LA Times recently did an article re the SF Ferry Building and mentioned Hog Island Oyster Bar.  Since you mentioned it I will definitely give it a visit when I go SF.

I fondly remember Luchow’s German Restaurant!  May, 1965 my parents took my 2 older brothers and myself to NYC to attend the World’s Fair.  On Sunday, which was Mother’s Day, we ate lunch at Luchow’s.  Do not remember what I ate but loved the atmosphere.

Joan, I agree, I hope soon there will be a regular place on WOW for readers’ recommendations and reviews.  I eagerly await your reviews.  I recently read biographies of each of the Tudor rulers  and I was so happy to drift back in time and catch a glimpse of that tumultous time in English history.

Yesterday I went to the library and picked up Thirteen Reasons Why and read it in one setting (took me 3 hrs).  I passed it on to my 19 yr old daughter and she started it this morning.  She commented that it was normal high school drama and I agreed.  What is no big deal to some is earth shattering to another, especially a teen.

Joan, You are right it was your recommendation to read the Piano Tuner. I really liked it and have added ait to my list of books I recommend.  I thought you might like to know I have a separate list of the books you recommend.  I always enjoy reading your posts and decided I could depend on you to give good reading recommendations.

So very happy they passed the law in CA.  However, it was rather sad that a law had to be made since to most people it is common sense.

I do agree with you - fear is the dragon. I wonder what the big bogey man is going to be in 10 years.
