well I decided that instead of going away on vacations I would do a "stay-cation."  Thats where one stays at home but goes to all the local tourist spots and just gets reaquainted with whats offered. Being in San Diego affords alot of choices…and its only 30 minutes to the beach in one direction and 45 minutes to the mountains in the other, so hey! Can’t go wrong no matter which direction I choose!

Okay, here’s my 2 cents….I have the same insurance company as "octomom." I am an overweight, 53 yr old woman with heart disease and cancer in my history. I have struggled for years with weight loss plans and my insurance company will NOT approve gastric by-pass or even lap banding for me….because I had a time in my life when I was on meds for depression and that tells them I am not "emotionally stable" enough to handle getting skinny!?! But wait! This same insurance company will impregnate this woman with 8 children and no father or visible means of support? I figure my children will be rich when I die because as a good American, I will leave them everything they need to sue the hell out of the insurance company that allowed me to die.

I think the womens bathrooms at The Viejas Casino in San Diego CA are the most awesome! They have wall to wall marble…floor too, and everything is automatic….flusher…paper towel…water…toilet paper…everything…the only thing you have to touch is your own clothing! And the lighting is perfect! HUGE chandeliers that light up a face in a mirror just right….

Why is it that women and their dogs form such a tight bond that it just tears us up when they have to go? The pics in the slide show and the stories make me cry for love of all dogs.

Geeez Lisa C….your trying to convince me that you have NEVER been at all curious about the one that got away? Looking up an old lost love doesn’t mean you have to become a stalker or a crazy person….it means you value the lessons learned in your life….for most of us anyway.

If any of us did to other people what the banks and large companies that are getting all the bailouts are doing, we would be charged and put into jail. Why is there no accountability anymore? How is it that company leaders become so powerful and huge! that they can walk away with other peoples money and actually think they deserve it?

If football’s not on, then it’s Nascar for me and mine! On the 14th, we will go somewhere to dinner….I pick the place I think he would like best…..then he spends the evening with me in his chair…comfy, warm and fat and happy….Sunday, we spend the day watching the race thats on and hooting and hollering for our faves…then he will take me out to dinner again….somewhere I like this time. And so goes Valentines weekend!
