My most serious disallution was that I couldn’t count on anyone to do anything I felt important to do, for me. My sheltered childhood was just an illusion. I was sheltered from the truth and reality of life by the way my parents chose to live. Life was so freakin perfect I never realized life was hard and I would have to count on myself out there. And to never be taught how to count on me…OMG! Then along comes a husband who trys to give me back my sense of comfort in my learned ways, by being all-knowing, all doing, and controlling my life. But he couldn’t keep up the ruse. He wasn’t capable of “doing it all.” So once again…learning to count on me and live by the motto, “If it’s to be, It’s up to me.”

Women are harder to work for because we can do so much more, so much better, most of the time , that no one ever makes us truly happy. It’s the way my mother use to think….”move over and let me do it, I know at least it will be right.” I’ve caught myself thinking that a few times and had to literally teach myself to stop, and delegate and live with it!

I know for sure….that if my body doesn’t have a routine…all else is uncomfortable. I know for sure…..nothing smells as good as a baby. I know for sure…..no one will ever love me as much as my dog.

Just becuz “Queen” Oprah decided she now has the time for Palin….why should Sarah drop everything to rush to be on the show? Isn’t there some black family in Africa that needs an education or a new home built for them that Oprah can have on her show instead? I’m sure there is a Dr. somewhere that would LOVE to talk to Oprah bout whatever she thinks she needs serviced…..Gawd! Can’t Stedman pique her interest enough to keep her home?

Can’t stand “Family Guy.” I actually met the writers once at Comic-con in San Diego and they’re just as irritating as the characters they make up. Mimicking themselves must be rather boring and mundane….so they pick on everyone else.

Man says to his wife : Yur butt’s getting as big as my bar-b-q grill. Later in bed he’s trying to put the moves on her, she turns over and says, Honey, you don’t really think I’m gonna fire up this big ol’ grill for one tiny weener do ya?

That is so awesome!! and the fact that I live just over the hill from where this story takes place…Lakeside…makes me truly believe it! I’ve met some of the CHP out there….pretty lame!

thank you for your comments…yes, I have been an activest…all my life…being the “black sheep” of seven kids cuz I spoke up and asked questions adults didn’t want to have to answer…anyway….I seriously worry bout the children out there….foster care isn’t doing everything it should, welfare isn’t going to step in and help them. If that was the case they wouldn’t be where they are now. Our laws and rules for adoption make it so hard to crawl thru the paperwork and legal hoops that it isn’t the answer. So we end up with more juvenile prostitutes, up and coming criminals, and just KIDS! with no life! and no one to give a hoot! I totally agree with the person who wrote Angelina and Ashley, go do your thing, but what about the kids in OUR country? Just because the same things don’t LOOK as bad in America does NOT mean they are not happening. Just a quick fact: if America turned just 1/3 of the golf courses it has spread out all over, into homeless housing areas…it would eradicate the homeless problem. JUST 1/3 !!!!

………okay, so I’m a single, homeless girl who got raped on the street…went thru the pregnancy with minimal health care, only what I could get at free clinics. I’m not even sure of my due date. I have the baby in a county hospital, and after 24 hours I am released with the baby because we are okay. I stay with friends, family, shelters, whatever I can and on the day the baby is 31 days old, circumstances see me living on the street again with no way to take care of this baby. Does it mean, that because my baby is 31 days old, I can’t make the choice to give him/her up to a better life? What about the kids who really DON’T have anyone willing to keep them? Who are 2 and 4 and 7? What are they supposed to do? I’m afraid for these children……….
