Is there no end to these pathetic stories about relatives of a well known political subject?  Does anyone really want to know about the peripheral Sarah Palin family members?

I’m not Jewish but some of my family are and I agree Bella. Margo you should rethink your statement. Otherwise I agree with you totally that Madoff is despicable and I am glad I am not one of his investors. Not very likely either since members had to be honored with a personal invitation.

The comparison to Washington in looks yes, but thats stretching it. 

Poor Minnesotans will have to do without representation in DC for now.

Look at your past history of governors and figure out why you vote in comedians.

I just wonder why there are so many Brazilians living in L.A. I think the Brazilian DaSylva speaks before he thinks.  Apparently some dark-eyed Brazilians are not being held back in the U.S. Who wants his opinion anyway? 

The neighbors next door and there many friends and relatives who frequent their home seem to be very successful. 

I made a lot more money than my husband for about ten years after we married.  He never said anything until one day he came home from work and had a big raise. He said. "At last I am making more money then you." I said, "Oh, that’s great!"

The subject was dropped and we went back to our everyday lives for the next 20 years. Over the years our salaries varied over time. We really did not care. He is gone now but it was such a surprise to me when he brought the subject up many years ago.  

It is not a good story. If we were realistic then we would be putting stories in all the newspapers about all the 11-12-13 year old girls having babies in this country. Some of those fathers are probably 13 also.  So let’s start showing the fathers of all the babies born to 13 year old children today and tomorrow etc.

Actually that’s not a good idea in fact both the girls and boys would enjoy being the center of attention. So we wil continue to support  many of these babies by our taxes.  Just do not give them publicity. And the same goes for Alfie and those families.

Gee Whiz folks, maybe Madonna will become available in the near future after she ditches the boy-child lovers.

I think Sean and Madonna will get back together. I really do.

And they deserve one another in all respects. Next adoption a child from Venezuela. 

Three cheers to W0W for being innovative and motivated to start a program like this. I am retired but didn’t stop working until 82 years last year. Oh oh there goes the age thing. I never had an internship but kept working at least part time and went to enrichment classes all along the way. This plus raising a family with a supportive husband.

I believe in continuing to learn and communicate with others as much as possible.  I was lucky in my field and I hope other companies will follow your lead. 

OFF TOPIC.  I apolgize for this but Lets talk about Special Needs children and adults on another site. The remark has been apologized for by the President.DEB you did try to stay on topic.

I have worked with special needs children for many years, including my youngest sister who had Down Syndrome and died at 5. My parents and all the special needs families that I knew take their children as loved and essentially normal children with some problems. They may be offended by jokes and off color remarks that refer unkindly to their family member.  But they usually go on with their lives without dwelling on stupid remarks.

The impotant part is that we should not waste our time on remarks in bad taste even if it is a politician.  They are human too.

Manager, thank you for stepping in.  This is a good site and everyone is entitled to their own beliefs.  As long as people can state their case and have a civil disagreement then it is interesting,

When some writers become angry and start labeling people it gets down to a street fight. Who wants that?  

The WOW readers are really intelligent for the most part and can write well. I have enjoyed the site from the beginning but when politics and religion enter in to discussions it is difficult to keep in order.

Let’s be ladies and gentleman and continue the discussions. It is fun when done right. 

Ron Silver was among the best character actors of our time.  He was a busy actor until he changed from liberal to arch-conservative. He has to be admired for his strong sense of character. He will be missed.

On the lighter side, if you live in New York or have ever been there you should rent the movie, "Garbo Talks".  Ron Silver and the brilliant Anne Bancroft were so good in that movie. It was funny and touching and beautifully done. Even the drama of everyday life in New York was wonderful.

I am not a" present" person. The best gift I received in my life was my husband. He has been gone for 15 years and he was not a perfect person.  But my children and many people in the community adored him and still think of him and ask me about him. An ordinary man who survived the Phillipines in WW2 and came home ready to be a decent human being and family man. I wish I could have that same gift again.
