I might be able to credit your comment more if so many Dems weren’t doubtful now—are they bigoted lying idiot terrorists or however that description goes these days? The Republicans want people not to be kicked or priced out of their policies or cancelled for getting sick…bec this is how they can get re-elected. Basically, Dems want this for the same reason. As for tossing everything and starting over as some sort of weird science project, many people are instinctively shying away.

The only persons refusing to hear his message are those who have had a deaf ear since his inauguration. Angry bitter bigoted Individuals determined to keep lies alive. Lies that President Obama set straight in his address. Persons with individual and collective agendas. Persons "Hell" bent on keeping political, racial, gender, social, educational and economic divisions. Persons determined to feed idiotic rumors.

You cannot support this—these statements are ridiculous. This is why I leave this site for months at a time—I lose respect for some comments.—I am angry, but not stupid or bigoted. He didn’t give evidence against these "lies" in his address—basically he just said "these are lies." Come on—we all saw it. I wish I could run for office—but that is not an answer. It’s not enough to say if you don’t like it—do it yourself. A lot of us perfectly well-educated, reasonable people who hold an opinion opposite to you want our elected officials to do it the best way—that is what this is all about.

I never can see how policies will be portable, while still tethered to employment. Everyone should have to buy their own policy. This leads to the tax credit idea.

I was not suggesting Medicare be expanded, but instead was saying somehow the supplementals to Medicare had been required to be standardized…each co’s Plan A containing the same benefits as every other company’s plan A. I was saying, why couldn’t the existing insurance companies do this for everyone—so we could compare on price and choose the set of benefits right for us.
