Sarah Palin and the Celebrity of Politics

Sargento cheese and snarky lizards are banned at my house! That cheese tastes like wax anyhow.

Sarah Palin and the Celebrity of Politics

LOL. Sarah is quite a ratings getter…always good for a few hundred clicks. I happen to like and respect her. But watch out, PTA Moms and any others who want to take on your local establishment (er, community organizers)—it could ruin your life!

Sarah Palin and the Celebrity of Politics

Yeah—this is about bashing Palin, not Obama—get with the program.

Sarah Palin and the Celebrity of Politics

Yeah—the founders are just trotting this out for clicks and I am helping. Don’t think I don’t know it.

Sarah Palin and the Celebrity of Politics

My sister said about the same thing to me the other day—well, I was never that interested in politics—well, she sure said I was stupid, Palin was stupid and other names, Obama was a god, etc…now…well, lost interest. Her husband is a Republican. She won’t look into this—just says there is something wrong with us. It’s easier for her.

Sarah Palin and the Celebrity of Politics

Yes—I remember this site always had a lot of self-styled shrinks.

Sarah Palin and the Celebrity of Politics

Snap! Your reply made me smile, too.

Sarah Palin and the Celebrity of Politics

I heard someone say Sarah should not be a Republican but The Resistance. She sure can command attention. I don’t know if she will or should run for anything again—but I welcome her attempts to zing The Chosen One.

Bullies Threaten Insurers; Is Profitability a Crime? by Liz Peek

We want reform—just not replacement with some humongous boondoggle involving the govt making life and death decisions with their power of the purse, having the IRS collect premiums and have access to bank accts, and just plain imposition of the usual govt idiocy in this delicate area. This means surgical (um) inclusion of the uninsured in the system through pinpointed regulations. Many proposals are floating around to do this. All have unintended consequences—but the unintended consequences of this grotestquely expensive mess would be far worse.

Don’t EVEN get me started in hosps! Every time Mom or I is hospitalized, I am in prolonged discussion with the patient rights people, who don’t even take my calls anymore. These places are a necessary hell hole. By the way, have you noticed that now Obama says half the US pop will get swine flu—hosps will be overwhelmed, etc. Gosh, let’s hit the beach!

 Above is what Kratuhammer wrote.

In her Sarah way, Palin did throw light and heat on an interesting subject here. I see the "death panels" more as they comparative effectiveness efforts—where possibly weak or inconclusive or flawed studies (which I deal with all day) are used to rule treatments or tests in or out as reimbursable. This can be life or death, too.

As you would say—read the whole thing. Yes, Krauthammer seems to be getting smarter as I see more and more lame things about the Dem party. Amazing transformation, Krautie!

Thanks—although I could WATCH his show because I have cable, I no longer do. The hootchy women he dates and he was dissing Sarah Palin. Nope. I am outta there.

They don’t hurt me—but I do wonder why I have always considered women to be the smarter gender. What is the purpose of saying mean things against a woman—when we all know what women go thru in this world—just to reinforce a point? I am not coming here to be dumped on. You can call it passionate—I call it crappy. How’s that for "passionate"?

During the campaign, I remember his wife trying to identify with "us" by saying, "If we had not had the book royalties, we could not have paid our student loans." Well, yay, not one but two biographies for a guy in his 40s. So happy for ya. Lots of people don’t have that, though.
