We should always try to eat healthy. Sometimes there just isn’t enough time in the day to eat the right foods. Be careful, just because the bottle says it’s a multivitamin, you may not being getting the right nutrients. Check the label and read a little more on the right kinds of vitamins, plus dosage. Also, CoQ10 is great for the heart. It’s especially important if your taking a statin drug, as that drug depletes your body of CoQ10.

I totally agree. The “sky is always falling” when politicians want to get something past the American public. A friend was telling me about regional banks who are profitable meet and were complaining that the big banks receiving money. The regional banks do not require money from the government to survive, they are doing just fine. The big banks are their competitors. If the big banks had failed, would that have been an opportunity for regional banks to grow. Thought that’s how busines worked.

Elaine, Do you think people feels it’s the same old same old? Or just laziness on our part, he is elected, now we can ignore things and let him take care of this mess. I agree it looks like the same old thing. We need to be uniting and telling Congress we have had enough.

Liz, Thank you for the story and update on Kim Novak. Glad she got away from Hollywood in one piece. I always think of Frances Farmer when hearing about stars who couldn’t live their own life. Another Hollywood beauty who wasn’t as lucky as Ms. Novak. Picnic is one of my favorite movies, it’s always a treat to watch Kim Novak and Rosalind Russell. And I always watch William Holden.

A friend has talked to me about bankrupcty - said I should do it to get out from under my credit card debt. I went into debt about 10 years ago, in order to live after being layed off. I would love to start fresh. Life would be so much easier, I keep thinking. The credit cards gone, I can breath again. I’ve had good credit for years. I made this mess, it’s my obligation. (although I think the credit card companies haven’t really played fair) Going bankrupt is something hard for me to do.

Making a new years resolution is like having the Christmas spirit only around Christmas. I just strive to be a better me all through the year. New Year’s resolutions set you up for failure.

I love California in the winter when the sun is shining and the air is crisp. I love it when it rains, keep warm with tea and enjoy relaxing. With the rain there is hope the wildflowers in spring will be abundant. Went Saturday to Joshua Tree National Park, where it snowed. Beautiful, took a lot of photos.

Hi Liz, This is off topic and without much details, maybe you can provide some kind of answer. Good idea or not a good idea? Over the years I’ve rolled over my 401K’s to a IRA retirement. I have 10 years before retirement, trying to be optimistic that I can retire. A financial planner says I should move my money to an “annuity”. The money was in a 500 index and mid-cap fund, until the drop in the market. Recently moved to a Prime Money Market Fund. I also have stocks which I did not sell, but they are good stocks like IBM, Ebay and purchased JNJ when the market dropped. Should I say no to annuities?
