Corruption, Crooks and Cars: What a Week! by Liz Peek

I don’t understand, Americans were calling, emailing, any way we could to our representatives in Washington when the first bail out was up for a vote. Of course, as the public we were ignored, the politicians know better. Yea, right. Why aren’t we all up in arms now? We are just sitting watching while company execs and politicians do whatever they want, with little say from us.

The automobile company execs are making a lot of money for doing a poor job. The unions aren’t helping either with their strangle hold. I read that if the automobile companies went into chapter 11, they could remove the unions. Seems they could rebuild their companies, rehire the experienced union works at pay rates of the Toyota workers. Which is still quite a nice salary.

aaahhh ‘Storm Watch’ - El Nino. Love how the newscasters are so dramatic, then the sun is out. Yes, rainy days in California is wonderful. A day for relaxing. Except for the areas where they has been fire.

In this digital age, how are you keeping photographs?

My photographs are in boxes, on my computer external hard drives (3 of them), DVD/CD’s, on websites and on a couple of stock photography sites. A winery just asked me to submit some of my photographs which I digital transform in to artwork. Do you think the right to choose should be a political issue? Why or why not?

Government needs to mind their own business. There are a lot more important issues politicians need to be working. Our right to choose is not one of them.

Which three First Ladies of the past do you think were the most distinguished?

My list is not much different than others: Abigail Adams(even though the women were forgotten) Eleanor Roosevelt Lady Bird Johnson adn I hope Michelle Obama is one day at the top of the list.
