Do you know your credit score?

My mom lives in California, the house is paid off, no credit card debt and the car is paid for. Of course, she went through the depression.

I’m a flamer because I write a couple of paragraphs as your lecture that goes on and on. Thank you, please delete my posts, don’t remember asking you to respond to me. Good luck in training people, but you’ll be beating your head against the wall.

No, I mean see other people’s point of view. No one has to agree with my opinions, but listen, openingly evaluate, maybe change your mind, maybe not, What about Honest Abe? Carter was inexperienced.

I’m allergic to people who don’t try to see other points of view. Propaganda? Please, there is also the Obama propaganda. It’s call politics. Neither candidate is perfect and lies to the American people to get us to vote for them.

Again, are you saying what happened to the South Vietnamese when North Vietnam invaded is OK? According to the Hanoi government, more than 200,000 South Vietnamese government officials, military officers, and soldiers were sent to “reeducation camps”, where torture, disease and malnutrition were widespread Killing on both sides is wrong. To condemn one country and not the other is also wrong. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Killing_Fields You should rent this film http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Killing_Fields_(film)

A Credit Crisis How-To: From Fashionista to Recessionista

Well, I was never a “Fashionista”, I started cutting back even before the bailout. As a “Recessionista”, I’d cut back on my Netflix from 3 to 1, didn’t buy the new watch band, sell on Ebay(not purchase), cut back on my wine club memberships. Not sure what I am now, “In The Poor Houseista”? Last night went into further debt after taking my cat in for emergency surgery. $1295.00 more into debt. I’m tired, scared and in a really bad mood. This morning I was looking around the condo I rent, trying to find things for a garage sale. I created some web pages over the weekend. Then sent some information and the links to colleagues in hopes of getting a job or part time work. Anyone wanted to have a basic web page created, let me know. Maybe we can help each other. My job is ending soon, credit card debt, don’t want to use my 401K. I know other people have it much worse, but I feel as if I’ve reached my limit.

Warren Buffett's Advice for Beating the Recession, by Liz Peek

Hi Liz, Thanks so much for the advise. I have enjoyed reading your thoughts on the economy. I’m a little lacking or maybe lazy is a better word, when it comes to money. Glad you mentioned Johnson & Johnson, that’s one of the stocks I bought. I also bought Red Hat Inc., very small amount on RHT. I used money from my IRA Treasury money market fund. I don’t have extra money to purchase stock, but feel using my retirement fund to purchase over time it will increase. I have another 10 years or more before retiring. With my various 401K rollovers, I had a mix of index and stocks. Most of my rollovers were in the index. With the recent economy problems, I moved the index funds into a treasury fund. At least in the treasury fund, the amount did not keep going down, down, down. I left the stocks alone, as I have IBM, Ebay and TEX. Plus a few stocks in small companies, not much money invested in those. I’m a little concerned about Ebay, thinking I should sell. I believe in long term investments. Only purchase stock and index funds when I rollover a 401K when leaving a company. Coca-Cola? Really I purchased that stock from a bonus I received several years ago. Then the stock dropped. Thanks again, yes I hope to pat myself on the back in the future. Barbara

There are a lot of colleagues who consider McCain a friend. Including Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwt5o0XRojo

If you could give away one million dollars, what or who would you give it to?

Belinda, I’m so sorry. Maybe you will have another dream of numbers.

If you could give away one million dollars, what or who would you give it to?

I already have a cat, would you take the other two I found starving by my home. I’m hiding them from my landlord. It’s a lovely dream, Elaine.

Warren Buffett's Advice for Beating the Recession, by Liz Peek

I bought some stock the other day with my rollover IRA. Solid companies that will not be going away anytime soon.

What do you think of healthcare coverage in the United States?

C O - concerning BofA, that happens many times. I worked for a profitable company which bought a company lossing money. The managemanet of the other company took over. Then started eliminating jobs in favor of their employees. I was one pushed out. It happens all the time.

If you could give away one million dollars, what or who would you give it to?

With one million dollars, I’d pay off my credit card debt. The rest I’d spread around to my friends who have always been there for me. One needs a car to get to work, the rest like me need to get out of credit card debt. The rest I’d give to St. Jude, a childrens home in the area, shelter for abused women. If there was money left over I’d look for families in need in my area.
