Liz Smith, Warrior Princess

Lucy Lawless is alive and well Liz. She’s doing guest spots on TV (most recently BATTLESTAR GALACTICA and BURN NOTICE) but her new passion (since appearing on CELEBRITY DUETS) is singing and she’s been rocking out all over the US and recently in England. She’s done some voice work in a couple of animated movies. Women is BUSY and we fans still wait breathlessly for anything and everything she decides to do! Good choice with your superheroine pick Liz. XENA and LUCY rock!!

And the Oscar, Emmy, Grammy AND Tony Go To ...

Barbra Streisand! At least she EARNED her Grammy Award, unlike someone else listed in the actress category who shall remain nameless ~ but is always happy to take the credit for being the only one who “won” all four awards. HARUMPH!! Props to Whoopi and Liza as well!

Whoopi: 'Ma, Don't Freak Out. But, Yes, This Is Marlon Brando'

I’m so glad you got to have that Dian Fossey moment Leslie. Never would have happened if not for Dian as the mountain gorillas would be extinct by now. The fact that this still might happen is simply unthinkable.

Helen Mirren: 'Awards Are Wonderful ... But They Are Not the Main Course'

Bless you Liz Smith for asking and THANK YOU Dame Helen for taking the time to answer! I just got “In The Frame” and can’t wait to read it. What a fabulous treasure-trove of pictures! And every time I saw Simon Mirren’s name in the credits of a favorite TV show, I wondered if he was related. Thanks for clearing that mystery up for me. I just finished a little “Helen Mirren Film Festival” this past weekend catching up with some of the lesser-known works. Each and every performance was stellar. What a thrill to come to the site and find this Q&A today. Many thanks!!

Jane Wagner's Butterfly Metaphor and Other Mother Earth Care-toons

These are absolutely fabulous! Thanks so much for sharing them with us! Tough to get a comment in here since the cartoons seem to be on auto pilot and one can’t type fast enough to get a thought down before the cartoon changes and the message goes poof! Thank goodness for cut and paste! HA!
