Living in SoCal, where Morning Joe comes on at 3 am, I wake up to watch and be entertained by the show.  Also, happy to have Joe and Mica on KABC radio from 10 am to noon.

Used to watch Imus until he got into trouble and was relieved of his show on MSNBC. 

 At first, when Morning Joe were getting its footing, it was decidedly boring to watch as all the participants did was talk amongst themselves about themselves. 

I abandoned it and went back to Imus, who is way too politically correct now for my taste… so gradually watched more of Mica and Joe. 

Theirs is the only show worth watching at 3 am in the morning.  I like Joe and Mica and the rest of the crew… so human and enjoyable, even though they talk over each other and sometimes you don’t have a clue who said what.

 Thanks, Mica… don’t let the negative commentaries here stop you from continuing to do your outstanding job on Morning Joe.

Instead of all this nonsense about sending or throwing your shoes at Bush, why not make something positivie out of it. Organize a group to send new shoes to the people of Iraq. Sort of a Shoe Marshall Plan for those in need. Matter of fact… there’s a whole lot of people in the USA who need a pair of shoes right now. I heard this morning about 40 homeless people in Laguna Beach who were shivering in the rain and cold yesterday… waiting for the library doors to open so they could come in to get warm. My friend went to the Chamber of Commerce and asked about opening some vacant buildings so the people could get out of the rain but no luck there. What kind of country have we become when we spend time venting our anger about Bush but are indifferent to the less fortunate in our midst??????? God help us.

Really looking at other people in the eye and seeing their inner beauty makes me feel beautiful. Agree with the soap and water routine and moisturizer with sun screen if you consider skin as the most beautiful part of you. I feel beauty can’t be bought in a bottle.

“She remains very Catholic…”?????????? Her behavior doesn’t coincide with most Catholic teachings I know about.

This is my exit piece… I joined this group because of the women listed on the masthead. I thought they were the owners and would contribute to the dialogue. To me, seems like most of them have abdicated their roles here. Few contribute besides Liz Smith. Over 90 percent of the emails are snide, hate-filled, one-sided and of no use to me. I expected dialogue. Ain’t happening here. I check the site daily and have concluded its not worth my time. I had high hopes and am sad its not working out. Even Tiffany doesn’t have its ad any more. Bye, bye.

I’m 73, have arthritis but nothing else wrong in the health department. At 5’7” I weighed around 125-128 for most of my life until about 5 years ago when I started to inch up. I didn’t change my eating habit so it must be slow down of metabolism. I now weigh between 143-146 depending on the day. Have lots of wonderful clothes in my closet that I can’t get zipped. I work out 4-5 times a week at the gym which greatly helps my arthritis pain. I’m in a chiropractic trial at a chiropractic college to see if the treatments relieve the pain in my hip. It has help but not taken away all the pain. The arthritis in my hip is not advanced enough to have replacement surgery. When I was 68 my BF and I purchased a sailboat, he taught me to sail, and we go sailing as often as we can. He also has taught me to play golf. We go tent camping… my friends think I’m nuts. Their idea of going camping is a luxury hotel. My life is very full of activities. Today I’m weeding in my back yard and pruning the overgrown bushes. I could go on and on but need to get back to my weeding.

A word of caution… I was taking a glucosamine condroitin supplement. My rheumatolgist wanted me to have a blood test as she said it raises your cholestrol level. I did and mine was up to 254… I went off the supplement and within a week it was down to 190. So if you are taking it, please have your blood tested. My regular doctor said it also raises blood pressure in some people. I now take Aleve once or twice a day… it works better than the supplement did for me.

Stop reading about Palin. It’ll be good for your blood pressure.

There’s blame on all sides. Why should we punish only Wall Street? I haven’t heard of anyone holding a gun to the head of the US citizens who signed up for home loans. They knew they weren’t qualified. And the real estate agents also knew and still touted creative financing. The banks and loan companies didn’t qualify their clients. And then… and then… and then… until no one knows how far out this mess extends. I’m against rewarding anyone at this point. What must be done NOW is for the federal government… president - congress- regulating agencies… and the best minds in the private sector… to STOP BICKERING and get down to hammering out a possible solution ASAP. After that we can sit around forever and place blame.

Sexy sure is in the eye of the beholder… half the men on this list would make me want to give up sex. Yuck.

Me!!! Won’t give that up because its election time. Keep on vibrating.

I came to this site because of the quality of the founders, hoping for civilized discourse. Sorry to say… its had quickly degenerated into what most forums eventually succumb to… hate-filled postings. What a pity.
