Not sure about the gold digging Joan: It creates lots of earth destruction, low paid workers in countries w/tyrants, chemicals for processing ?. How about investments in low cost solar energy panels on every roof top, smaller & more efficient wind turbines to generate electricity along the periphery of those further expanses of modified genetic engeneered food growing fiels.  And a massive campaign to eradicate the use of plastic bags.  Do you know about the plastic soup in the Pacific Ocean ? 

On line games may develop rapid reaction but creates anomia in children and less reading in adults.
