My Comments (11 so far…)

Have you ever had a great injustice done to you, and have you forgiven it?

Yes,several times!!!

I have forgiven but I can never forget, how can a person forget what has happened to them especially if it was so unforgettably hurtful. You eventually come to forgive because you love these people who caused the hurt, they are family. Sometimes though I wonder if I have really totally forgiven, reminders bring back all those memories of long ago and you find yourself once again on the verge of tears!!              CarolAnn

Do you have a nickname? What's the story behind it?

Yes I have a nickname!!

I was only about 12 or 13 years old when one day my older sister called me to go down to the store for her,as I was leaving she yelled and "KAY" don’t forget to ask for matches. I stopped to see if I heard right,I did,I asked why she called me Kay,she didn’t know but it stuck and from then on I was Kay,my Mom never approved and never once called me Kay. I even became Aunt Kay to all my nieces and nephews. I am now and have been for the last 10 or so years back to the name my Mom loved CarolAnn. The name Kay seems foreign to me now,the sister who dubbed me that is gone as is most of my family and friends.                          CarolAnn Clay

Has the Miracle on the Hudson changed your in-flight habits? Are you listening to the flight instructions for a change?

I don’ have any in flight habits,I don’ fly and I never will, yes I have a fear of flying that I simply can not get over. I flew once when I was only a young girl and that was it for me,I enjoy driving to wherever I need to go even the 1200 miles back to N.Y. that we used to do twice a year,I enjoyed traveling by train a few times but prefer driving. The pilot that landed that jet in the Hudson deserves a medal,he saved a lot of lives!!! I’m sure that those who do travel by air will most certainly pay closer attention to in flight instructions from now on!!! CarolAnn

If someone gave you $40,000 to buy an automobile, would you buy one made in America?

I have a Lincoln Mark VIIII,bought it new 1998,it was the last year that Lincoln made this car,it still looks new,I still love it but was disappointed to learn it was made in Canada, all this time I thought I had an American made car. I probably would not buy another (made-in-America?) car,as much as I love my Lincoln, the workmanship on detail leaves a lot to be desired, almost from the beginning the rear window seal started to buckle,my Lincoln dealer told me nothing could be done about it,it still only has 25000 miles on it but at 20000 miles I was told the tires needed replacing,Goodyear tires too, aren’t they an American company? I noticed more and more small but noticeable flaws, seams that are not equal on both sides of the car, enough said!!! I think Asian car makers put a lot more pride in detail and workmanship but that’s only my opinion!! CarolAnn

A wowOwow Tribute to Paul Newman (photo essay)

I read many of the comments about Paul Newman,I have no better words to add,it’s all been said beautifully by your readers and I agree with it all,he was a great actor and an even greater man with his charitable gifts to the less fortunate, especially to the children!!! He will be missed by everyone!!!!

50 Sexiest Men Over 50: wowOwow's 2008 50-Over-50 List (Photos)

The only one on this list that I think is sexy is Sean Connery, the photo you have of him is awful though and where is Anthony Hopkins,Al Pacino,Robert De Niro,John Travolta,William Peterson,I could go on. What could be sexier than watching Pacino and Travolta dance, just my opinion of course but I know a few women who feel the same. What do I think makes a man sexy?,Oh the eyes, the way a man who knows women looks at you,the smile, yes he knows how to use the smile too and if he knows how to dance he’s got it made, especially if it’s a sexy dance!!!

What's the best way to please a man?

I think the best way to please a man is to make sure he knows he’s pleased his woman,a really smart woman knows the importance of this,no need to go into detail is there?

Who is the most famous person you've ever met? What were the circumstances?

I have met 7 famous people in my life, none of whom would have remembered me or the countless others they met and signed autographs for. To pick one of them I would have to say Jackie Robinson because of the circumstances. I was only 13 at the time,a student at PS 109 in Queens Village N.Y.,my class was the 7th grade creative writing class, the teacher was Mrs Leathe Hemachandra who made the meeting of Jackie Robinson possible. One day she announced she was taking us on a bus trip to her home in St.Albans N.Y.,upon arriving there she took us across the street to her neighbors house, rang the bell and there he was, Jackie Robinson, his wife and children,he invited us all in and spoke to all of us,what a great and kind man he was. The real hero here though is Mrs Hemachandra, she also made it possible for Marian Anderson to sing at our school, she sang The Lord’s Prayer that day,I never again heard it sung more beautiful. Mrs Hemachandra was an unbelievably wonderful teacher who believed in every student and made each of us feel special!! Then one day her son came to our classroom to tell us our beloved teacher had died on her way to school that morning, the entire class broke down and wept,we all knew we had just lost the greatest teacher to ever come into our lives,at least that is how I felt. I am 70 now and still Mrs Hemachandra is one of my most precious memories. Perhaps I should mention that she was the first person of mixed color to teach in our school which was all white, she was part black and part american indian as I recall, but first and foremost she was a beautiful human being!!!! A 'How-To' Video Made for the Technically-Challenged

I thought your video was very good except I still can’t seem to find how or where to answer the question of the day, perhaps I’m still too computer illiterate,I’m new to the computer world,or are we even supposed to answer?
