Happy Happy Birthday!! And thank you for helping me keep my sanity back in ‘96 (playing Murphy) when my maternal grandparents died within 6 months of each other. If only all ten seasons would be released on dvd’s - my vhs-tapes are almost worn out by now…

It's Friday the 13th. Does this date spook you?

I find myself to be extra careful at work each Friday the 13th; you need to be when driving in this town - some jerks treat the streets as their own personal racing strip. I really don’t like Friday the 13th and I haven’t got the slightest idea why…

On superstition: what’s this with a hat on a bed? Never heard of it. Here, a lot of people panic if (or when) they see keys on a table. That’s a big "no-no", as is new shoes on a table. We too have "no walking under ladders", "knock-on-wood when seing a black cat" and "no walking on the cracks in/on the sidewalks". Another strange thing, at Christmas: if you’ve left the people you’ve visited, and have to go back to get something, the hostess often insists you eat something. It doesn’t have to be more than a tiny cookie, you just have to eat something. Why? Otherwise you’ll bring Christmas with you. Yep, I know it sound very strang, but most superstitions are!

(“Jul” is said is if spelt with an “y”) Kanske lite tidigt att säga Gott Nytt År - 6 dagar kvar - men jag gör det ändå!! ;-) Gör ingenting som inte jag skulle göra!!! Better translate to the rest of you all: Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do (for New Year’s!) Uhm, I don’t need to do anything special other than press the letters å ä and ö directly when I need them, as on my keyboard the letter å is to the right of the p, the ö to the right of the L with the ä to the right of the ö. Convieniant!! ;-)

Hey Mugsy - do you by any chance have a Swedish keyboard?! Writing our last three letters å ä ö… is no easy task on the English keyboard! St. Lucia, and her followers, have scared a lot of people over the years.. I don’t know if it’s still being done, but “they’ve” done the “Lucia-train” (for lack of a better English word, it’s called that in Swedish) some years to/for the Nobel Prize winners - and scared some out of their senses! You have to know - she often comes in the wee hours of the morning…. Not being fully awake and seing a white-dressed figure with burning lights on her head…. H’m, I’d be scared too had I been from another country.

Speaking of flying… Well, my flying dream is a bit different than those all of you’ve had. Prior to 9/11 I often dreamt of planes crashing into the ground - several ones on the same “day”. One of the planes dove nose first into the ground. Always woke up a bit trembling after I’d “seen” that great big silvery bird heading nose first into the ground. Strange thing is - haven’t had that dream after 9/11.. A premonition? You tell me.
