Hi Josie! Well, for some reason, the song popped into my head yesterday when I sat down at the pc; and questions were buzzing in my head, questions like:”Wonder if it’s out on the net?”… “Wonder if it’s recorded in English”… “It would be perfect for Jenny-the-elephant”…. Soo, a visit to Youtube - and there it was! I wasn’t sure if he’d recorded the song in English, glad he did/has… I’m sure it can be found in Swedish too, though it wouldn’t have been much point in posting the link in that case! You know, way back in 1975, the music “critics” were outraged that we sent this song to the big Eurovision Song Contest finale… they thought it wasn’t any good, too banal. Someone even took the time to count how many times the word “Jenny” was/is sung!! Probably a case of too much time on their hands. By the way - the English lyrics are better than the Swedish lyrics! (I’m glad I didn’t have to translate from Swedish into English!)

That might be the case with the persons I’ve talked to. If I’d been more knowledgeable (spelling?) in politics, I might have been able to get better answers. I’m not. Politicians, at least the Swedish one, can’t be jaded… that would mean they actually had to work…. I doubt very much they’d lasted even one hour in any profession.

You ladies (and few men) are fabulous! All the work Winery L and Linda C, among others, put into this so far - you all get a standing ovation from me and my 4-legged “babies”!! A great idea to try to purchase Jenny! However - as I told James G on another thread… I guess the next best thing for Jenny is to stay where she is - for as long as it lasts. The very best for her would be to be moved to the sanctuary. I can’t help but wonder… Are they keeping her in Dallas in the hope that the outcry will die down, and then move her to Mexico??? I wouldn’t at all be surprised if that’s what they’re hoping for - I hope I’m wrong but….. you never know, stranger things have happened. PLEASE, all of you, do NOT let this happen. If I could, I’d set up camp outside either the Dallas Zoo or the Dallas City Council just to let “them” know we care. Alas I’m too far away….
