Who would you like to see John McCain choose for his vice-presidential running mate?

Frank “Well I will hope for one thing he picks someone stable …” How about - if it was at all possible - Donald Duck?? He’s a “stable” guy.. ;-)

Liz Answers wOw Critics of the John and Elizabeth Edwards Story

This is very much like the criticism received when we write about Madonna. It only makes me wonder why, when you see a headline about Madonna and you don’t care, you bother to say, “Who cares?” and then attack the press for what it reports. Just ignore what you don’t care to know about.” Very well said, Miss Liz. You get a standing ovation from me!!

Liz Smith Knows Madonna Is Fine Without Us

Welll said! Seriously… Has Madonna ever worried about what the world thinks of her? Don’t think so.

Summertime and the Architects Are Jumping

Spot on Frank! Architects… A truly strange breed. So many of them lack the sensitivity, I think, to incorporate their new buildings with the surroundings. At least that’s the case in my hometown. Too damn much glass and concrete… Especially since we have some really old buildings still standing. (100 -> 600 year olds) Sweden’s tallest apartment building was completed, here in town, just a few years back. It’s designed by Santiago Calatrava (of Spain) - Turning Torso it’s called. Well, I - and lots of others - call it Turning Tossig (=Turning crazy, in our dialect). If an architect feels the need to make a city uglier (in this case) why can’t he/she just stay in their own homwtown? A simple question, isn’t it? And - the stupidest thing - it’s the tallest building in Sweden and it hasn’t got any public outlook point. So many would like to get up there to see the view, - not possible. If Calatrava is such a hotshot - he could’ve designed the building WITH an outlook; if done correctly it wouldn’t have bothered the inhabitants of the building. The past 3 or 4 weeks, it’s been opened to guided tours for the first time, you could get up to the highest floor. However, the fee was $ 32 for just one adult. No way I’d ever pay that - they’d have to pay ME to get up in that building! Turning Torso is hideous, and I can’t understand - not even if my life depended on it - how anyone would want to use up the teeniest space in their cameras for a pic of that… thing. Every day tourist buses drive to it, people come pouring out of them with just one thing on their mind “I have to have a picture of that building”. And… It’s not just Swedish buses; they come from other countries too; Denmark, Norway, Finland, Germany, France, The Netherlands…. Ha! The last idiot hasn’t been born yet. And (again) - not to mention all the other vehicles driving to that thing… It’s the worst during the weekends, practically rush hour traffic in a place that is not meant for so many cars. I’ve located a couple of links if anyone cares to look at it - the first one is all in Swedish but it has a web-camera, just log on and let the page do the rest. The second link has a “translate into English button (or what-it-can-be-called)”. #1: http://www.webbkameror.se/webbkameror/malmo/malmo_turningtorso_live.php ( a live web-camera) #2: http://www.turningtorso.se/ (This page CAN be translated into English)

Mother Earth Care-toon: A Fish Out of Water

You’re very welocome! Please do me (us all) a favor…. Keep ‘em coming!

Agreed! Don’t forget Tom & Jerry and the one and only - Donald… Donald Duck! However those two (three!) are best enjoyed in TV-cartoons. I NEVER get to old to watch cartoons!!!

Mother Earth Care-toon: A Fish Out of Water

The cartoon’s so funny! Although… if we aren’t more careful it’ll probably come to it in the futrure…. Horrifying thought..

Me too. Actually I dig everything about the Garfield comic.Years ago my dear Maryland-friend actually managed, through one of her sisters, to get me an autographed (by Jim Davis) Garfield comic-book. I cherish it tremendously.

What adage do you live your life by?

Thanks. Was afraid I’d offended you, unintentially.

What is your favorite ethnic food?

James & Frank - don’t forget to throw in finely cut leeks into your salads! A perfect salad needs to have leek in it - at least by my standards!! Love leek, cooked AND raw!

A year ago I had to get my drivers licence re-newed = had to get a new pic taken. I put it of for as long as I could, always found something that just had to be done first… Well, I went and I hated every second of it - I think it shows on the licence too! The photographer that I used to go to, has closed his shop, sadly, but he somehow managed to make me look almost good in the pictures he’s taken of me. I actually have the last one in the computer, had to have it taken when I started working as a steward for our towns major soccer team. NO, I won’t change the Garfield photo into that one. This site would loose too many readers…..

LOL, yeah I know James! But that’s just Daddy Jim being nice to the public..He’s afraid I’d be kidnapped if you see the real me. As for “Mummy” Christina, well, she uses her picture to scare off any rats down by the laundry room. Are there any rats? No, see it works!! ;-)

Having your picture taken? Yikes. Absolute horror. I’m the kind of person who likes to be behind the camera instead of infront of it. I run in the opposite direction if I see one.
