My Comments (24 so far…)

What television show do you miss the most?

Oh my, so many memories: Family, Murphy Brown, St. Elsewhere, Upstairs/Downstairs, Duchess of Duke St., 6Ft……where are the new favoritess? My daughter and I used to watch Sisters together and although she was only 10 or so, it was a great window to the world of women.

What are your plans for Memorial Day weekend?

We will be celebrating my youngest daughter’s 21st (if I don’t kill her before), welcoming friends to Chicago and the Cubs but, first, and foremost, attending our local Memorial Day program hosted by our veterans. God Bless America.

What is the most life-changing book you've ever read?

My late-to-the-fold feminist book group read Doris Lessing’s The Four Gated City in the late 80s. Being a graduate of a women’s college, some of our readings felt stale to me. Four Gated City was torture for me but kept slagging through - though not for the feeling of accomplishment. The most profound point was when one character says “When I looked in his eyes and there was no one in there”. This brought such relief and clarity to me, at a time when I thought I was the only one out there and alone. It was a hard book to read. Many of her books are out of print. Our Nobel Prize Winner!

HerTube: Movies That Count

Another facinating point of this movie……how about her digs and the housekeeper? Pretty cool, especially in those days (single working woman). Who wouldn’t kill for that flat?

I Fell in Love with Him at the Venice Biennale

I hope you visit Artropolis fair this coming weekend in Chicago. Remarkable for the US.

What do men not know about women?

Dr. Klein needs to retire (from life). Pity his poor patients. What men need to know is: be the best kisser, snogger in the world and I will be yours. For a while.

On Tuesday you told us what you slept in. Today, we want to know: How many people have you slept with?

1968-1973 - a fun number (transatlantic flights included) 1973-1996 - one (poor at best) 1997 - present - 0000000000!!!!!!!!!!!!!can you believe it? got to get going……any advice? snogging ok

Whoopi: 'I Don't Think I Was Ever Mean'

Thanks for joining the View, Whoopie. I think the show was going south for many reasons and it needed someone rational and collected to keep some semblance of order. No one would listen to 4 or 5 women (or men, its just the discrimination) talking over each other. Order keeps it possible. Thanks.

Who Would You Love to be in the Dark With for Earth Hour?

Gabriel Burne…………not much else to be said
