Liz Smith on Hillary: 'A Lot of Obama's Supporters Would Just Die if He Chose Her'

Lorraine, thank you for your comments. I fail to remember the woman’s name who is referring to me and/or my statement as one a bigot would say. This is the best word to use when you have touched a nerve. I did strike at a nerve. Didn’t one lady say she was uncomfortable with what she was reading. I love this. Let’s see… let me share a little of my everyday life with you all. Bigot I am not and have never been. I share my bed, my life, lmy heart with an awesome, rock star of a highly educated man; he is white. Yes, I am married to a white gentleman of 62 years of age. Our daughter, the lovely Miss Morgan is now 3 years old. My step daughter…I love as if I was blessed to have birthed her into this world is Americanasian. So my life circles around multi cultures. I see, live and feel much of what Lorraine lives everyday. We have not and do not have problems with our neighbors, associates, friends, business colleagues, etc. Let me correct that. No problems that we are aware of. My parents love my husband. He is their son in-law. My Father is a 78 year old black man. He kisses my husband. Talks with him on the telephone. They work on projects together at my parents home. My aunts all in their 80’s love my husband. They love my family. My Father’s family onced owned 1000’s acres of farm land. All but 200 odd acres were stolen by white farm owners in their southern town. My Father onced hated white people. He got over his hatred. He worked at it. He did this my listening, talking, commenting and making an attempt understand various views. He left the south. You should see my Father and my husband together. It is awesome. My family totally rocks!!!!!! My Mother in law, we had the exact same relationship. She passed two years ago. But lived in our home for many years. I bathed her, washed her hair, took her for drives in between working a demanding career. I am no bigot. We miss that lady something terrible. I still cry over not seeing her or touching her or just talking with her. I am no bigot. You didn’t know all of this. You didn’t ask. You assumed. We have race problems in this nation. Look at the response or name calling with regard to my statement. I even indicated maybe we can agree that we see or view things differently based on our past and where we are today. The reponse…I am pleased to see. If we can only talk as we are doing now…think of the good that can come out of this. I speak my mind not with the intention of personally hurting or insulting anyone in the room or on the board. My feeling is that I did not hurt anyone. You may be a little surprised because you see my mug shot and you know my name. When people speak their mind while visiting online…they hide as much about themselves as possible. This woman Taylor, is a proud southern woman. I will not say something that does not represent what it is I believe. But speak your mind. I knew my post would pluck a nerve or two. Let’s keep talking because we have race issues in this country that will not improve unless we engage at such a dialogue. It is not Morgan’s responsibility to fix this mess we are in. Nor is it your child’s job. I am tired…sorry if there are mistakes.

Hillary Clinton Exhausted and in Mourning

And here we go again giving the 2nd runner up all of the play she and the media strongly believes she deserves. McFadden has admitted something I said in an earlier post…the media has no interest in presenting a story on a subject matter they have not and never wil believe in…cover blacks and other minorities in news stories. I wonder how many times McFadden has interviewed Obama? Has she worked on her exclusive with the wife of our newly elected Presidential candidate? Mrs. Obama is part of history just as her husband and HC are. I challenge you to get that story Cynthia McFadden.

Liz Smith on Hillary: 'A Lot of Obama's Supporters Would Just Die if He Chose Her'

Alias, how many men who have compaigned for the presidency came into office with this world experience you speak of? Did our current President have all of this experience you speak of? No he did not. Neither did Clinton. Bush senior had a degree of experience dealing with the world. Let’s see… business partners with big oil companies from Arab lands (we’re at war with one of those countries, right? ) direct contact with the Pentagon and CIA. And what about the statesman Regan, he had none. But all were elected for one reason or another. I say this because journalist and people like yourself speak of one having a lack of experience. Unless you are running for a second term in office no one has the experience of an outgoing President. As a minority woman who has grown up in white america to see a black President of the U.S. would create a change here at home that the average white person just DOES NOT GET. OR SHOULD I SAY DOES NOT WANT TO HAPPEN. The change is not just race relations. The change is broad. Let’s talk media: Here we have our first truly elected black presidential candidate running for office. And we have our first woman (of course white) running for the same office. HC has received and still receives more attention from the media than the now winner of this race. Why is that? How many stories truthfully have there been on Obama since he was the declared winner compared to HC? Tomorrow when she steps down it will be televised I bet on live television. How many 2nd place people get this kind of attention? Where is the exclusive on Obama? The media will shit in their pants if they have to have a black subject as a lead story multiple times a week. How many stories do we hear about that relate to minorities which become the lead story? Very few if none. This to me will be a pleasure to watch…the media doing stories on a black man. Oh how the American media hates black and minority related stories. Where HC is involved, I pray to God that she gets a seat on the Supreme Court…that way she will be removed as being the lead story. Wishful thinking. Her agruments from the Supreme Court will be televised live. She is the type woman I do not wish my daughter to say, Mommy I want to be like her. What about the gas break she squeeked about? Haven’t heard a word since Obama and other Republicans shut her up. Do you really think she’s working on that for you or me or our neighbors…hell no. And healthcare…she was right there in the White House. Today a Senator representing one of the most powerful states in the land…still no universal healthcare. She says whatever poor folk want and need to hear. And if she leaves the party you should truly question her motives because if you wish to unify you do not do it by vacating. My gut, she will leave the party and destroy the fastest growing party to date…the independent party. But with all do respect… maybe we should all agree that we perceive things differently. That perception is based on how and where we were raised and where we are today in life. One more thing…Obama is in a club most only wish to become a member of while HC was born to the same club that is still relatively new to Obama. She knows nothing of a struggle, living in a housing project ( I am referring to where/how Obama was raised) while being raised by a single parent. Who is the elitist…she is. It is just the truth. I’m sorry here is another thought…did you vote for Bill Clinton for the second term or did you vote Republican? The 17/18 million people who voted for her I wonder how many voted for her husband? Is this the same group of people who refused to not vote for Al Gore because of his affiliation to Bill Clinton. Or are these 17/18 million voters who now love The Clintons a mixture of poor, frustrated, out of work Republicans and Democrats who refuse to vote for a black man. You cannot forget what The Clintons faced while Bill Clinton was president. America hated that man and anyone within a 5 mile radius of him. But now it’s okay that he returns to office. If HC became President guess who’ll always be around for dinner? Yeah you forgot…WJC. Just a few thoughts.

Marlo Thomas: The Media Steals Our Chances of a Fair Election

I just want to make sure I am reading what my eyes are showing me. Did I just read this conversation from some of the wealthiest people in our country complaining about coverage of the election process? Okay, let me ask this…how many of you reply to conversations, etc. from this site have a close and dear friend who writes network news, reads the network news, wines and dines with network executives, is best friends with network big wigs??? Get where I am coming from? If these decision makers are your friends call them, text them, ask them why their networks cover the election process the way they do? Ask them why they feel it necessary to report on stupid nonsense? Ask them why they get to determine what is best for the American viewer? I can go on and on with this one. Hell…give me the email or phone number of your best friends… I’ll ask if you ladies are afraid to ask. Or is it you really do not care of the lifestyle of the 1% ( ladies that’s you) will only get stronger? Mary aren’t you the one who gave us the list of prominent physicians that we’ll need when we do our extended travels throughout Europe? Haven’t you all been friends forever and a day? What kind of friend cannot demand Bill Clinton come up with a better way of covering the election process? Let the two us arrive at the same dinner party I promise you I’d ask. Please. Cut me some slack.

Liz Smith: Barbara-Walters-Affair Headlines Made Me Laugh

You know what Liz… my girlfriends laughed until we cried over the affair with a black Senator issue. This is funny as all get out. The Walters has dipped into the chocolate. Not to be too mean…this is funny stuff. I mean really this is good stuff for all of those women and their young daughters who say, I want to be the next BW. Whatever it takes to sale books…I guess say it or do it. I can’t help but wonder why BW couldn’t put her personal thoughts aside and think what this information would or could do to the former Senator’s family relations? Forget that…his wife knew all along.

How do you feel about Senator Clinton's win in Pennsylvania?

Senator Clinton has convinced me to officially leave the Demorcatic Party and join the Independents. In the event Clinton wins the nomination…remember how you feel today about the Hillary Clinton we little have had the pleasure to get to know. DO NOT VOTE FOR HER!!! And if you think having Hillary Clinton as your next president will put women on a different…yet better platform…think again. It’s nothing to be proud of when you say you like her or wish to be like her. She makes women look awful.

Which is your best stress reliever?

When stress invades my space during the winter months I enjoy soaking in my hot tub drinking a french martini. During the summer months…it’s a dip in the swimming pool with a tall gin and tonic.

Is Adultery Bred Into the Male Animal?

a c I like what you are saying here. Marriage is an institution that members must understand that it takes time to get it right. Something my husband and I live by…tomorrow is another day we can start over again. I am a working professional, wife and mother. How do people find time to have affairs? After making love with my husband I just could not imagine sharing that part of myself with another man. Maybe I am old fashioned. Not really…I just love this institution. I love my marriage and I am still in love with my husband. And yes, he drives me crazy at times. I suspect I do the same for him. Adultery may not be bred into one’s gender but it is bred into one’s culture. That I do believe.

Do you tell people your real age?

At 39 I am very comfortable in my own skin. I would not elect to be younger…life just keeps getting better.

Who was more important to you, your father or your mother?

I am a blessed with a strong and loving relationship with both my parents. They are still alive. My Father is not in the best of health. My Mother is his caregiver. Mom and Dad live almost 300 miles away. We see one another often but talk daily on the phone. The relationship I share with Mom and Dad is a strong one. They are still teaching me how to get what is rightfully mine. We talk about balancing work and family life. Both remind me of what I am supposed to provide for my family. But they also tells me to do what tugs at my heart…just to make it happen. I am my parents’ daughter. Proud as anyone can be that these smart, intelligent people who have the ability to forecast into the future raised me. I am proud that my A-type personality comes from Elizabeth. I am proud that I can go toe to toe (defending myself) with the best of the best – and be victorious and that comes from Bill. Both made sure that as a child I understood the importance love, family, working smart, investing, etc. My parents planted those things that have bloomed in my heart and spirit. Today I am sharing with my daughter what is in full bloom. My ability to love unconditionally… my sincere heart… my drive and determination…my desire to help others. Mom and Dad are still married celebrating 50+ years together.

Whoopi: 'I Don't Think I Was Ever Mean'

Suzanne, let us not mention Whoopi’s co-host on this site. I hate that I am writing something about her. She’s just a cry baby! We all know why she’s there.

Whoopi: 'I Don't Think I Was Ever Mean'

This is what I’m talking about…conversation between two ladies who have been friends for God knows how long. Whoopi-Liz top of the morning to you both. Whoopi my impression of you has always been that you call it as you see and feel it. One of you said something regarding the bullshit we are constantly fed. Problems begin when you call those people on the carpet…that’s when stink begins to make its rounds from station to station accusing you-Whoopi- of being evil and insensitive. I too am over joyed that our fellow Americans now understand it’s okay to speak up…voice your opinions and your concerns. Afterall people have died so we all can take advantage of what we are doing right now. Talking loudly. Can’t wait to see your new work!!!

What is the biggest lie you have ever believed?

Let’s see…the biggest lie I ever believed came about when I was working with a director on an exciting project. We both agreed (so I thought) that I would produce the project. Boy was I shocked when I found out my position was promised to someone else. This after I brought money to the table… talent… you know the things some producers do… I did. The pain from this moment is still with me today.

What wakes you at 4 a.m.?

Either my 3 year old as she walks into our room eagerly celebrating a new day or my husband snoring in my ear.
