wOw's Had a Face-Lift (Well, Only Some Botox)
Kermie, just this past week 2 ladies in our town received emails demanding money or they would hurt the grandchild.
They had every detail on their life and it came from facebook. Fortunately they turned it over to the cops and the email was traced to France.
I am going to bea lot more cautious with that I write "out there".

How many hours each day do you spend online?
I started to use a computer in 1997. First it was to sell my left over stock from my closed shop. Slowly I became addicted to just about everything on line. Use it as a dictionary, research, recipes, gardening, games, learning about new subjects (this week it is trilobites)revamping my French verbs, best of all finding friends from the past and writing to everyone in the world. I no longer use the telephone.
Found a friend from my 7th grade in Ghent Belgium. Found friends who knew my husband when he was in art school. I am learning how small the world is and loving it.
Found one soldier who had fed my Mom and I in 1944 and kept up with him and his familly till he passed on last year, that was so rewarding.
You can take everything but not my computer and my son just gave me a new one!!!!
Is Three in the Bedroom One Too Many? Maybe Not!
Good luck, Jules in your search for adventure, like the French say "Chacun a son gout"
I have 42 years of bliss with husband number two, I never needed more adventure. Then again this is just for me may not be for numeours other women.

Are you like your mother?
Are you like your mother?
Pdr , you are right, I am well aware of that. Fortunately for her, her sister was there too.
My grandmother was a saint to put her children there, she went to work every day as a weaver (in Belgium) so her girls would have an aducation and away from a alcoholic father. A lot of courage was needed by these females in that household.
The Day Grandma Left Heaven for Dead, by Sheila Nevins
My Catholic childhood gave me solace when I just knew that my Meme was up there with the stars. She must have been the nice shiny one just beaming for me.
In adulthood I left organized religion altogether and tried to be a spiritual being.Trying to sort it all out.
Lately in my golden years I start to believe that everything was and is a fantasy and life is here, it is what it is. So deal with it, no fairy tales, no Santas, no angels. All I truly believed with my heart and soul is leaving me. I wish it would not be so but there it is.
Are you like your mother?
My mother was in a Catholic boarding school from age 3 to 18.
She should have been a Mother Superior.
She acted like one.
What I did learn from her was how to survive. Otherwise I hope I am not like her.
Happy Birthday, Lily!

He loves it.
