Jessica no doubt would know what I should do in my WNC garden, the other side of the mountain from Spartaburg.

From my European childhood gardens I want to bring into my garden 2 favorites.

One is the Lilly of the Valley and I have now plenty of them flourishing BUT my other love is for lupine. Every year I try at least 8 plants, they will bloom and do well and never return. I am lying, one returned this year but it is already dead so no chance it will come back in 2010.

In my grandfather’s garden we had to weed them out, they grew so profusely

I use fresh soil when I plant them, tried in different spots too.

I feed them but obviously they are not happy with me.

I am often in denial of anything unpleasant and difficult to take that way I can continue to live. So there is no "repair shop, getting over it, get closure etc.." for me. It is "shut down and continue".

However, if my husband leaves before I do then it will be another story.I am not sure that I can survive that.

How many nights each week do you currently cook at home?

I cook every day , all the meals. I love to cook but now it is a bit of a chore.Husband is ill and he can only eat very soft food. Son is picky and hates vegetables. I eat what is convenient and fast to fix. So what I am saying is that I make 3 dinner menus. Where is my halo?

I can’t believe the vitriolic answers.

The woman is on a serious mission, lets have a smidgen of hope that she can make some difference.What does it matter how she looked and how she took a stand. Lets get to the reason why she is there.

By the way I think she did a splendid job in reminding people she is not her husband’s puppet.

Was I always like this? Probably not as I grew up in a time and world to please men, I no longer have to do that. I can be ME now even with men. All is well with that world!
