Bravo, Margo!

I don’t know whether your are humor-imparied, but I found this piece clever and funny … and without the meanness that’s usually present in Maureen Dowd’s pieces.

Well, what a teaser!  What did Don Hewitt "hate" about your hair and your wardrobe.  Don’t just leave us hanging.

I am a BIG fan of Brothers and Sisters and am a long-time fan of Sally Field.  However I’m not a fan of her doctor’s advice for osteoporsis.  I have read some negative things about the long-term effects of Boniva on one’s bones, but mainly I would like to say that more and more doctors are debunking the idea that we need more calcium to protect us from bone fractures, etc.  Calcium, as anyone who knows anything about cement, is used to harden the cement.  It will do the same thing to your bones, making them more brittle and making you more susceptible for a fracture or a break, should you fall.  Calcium does not build new bone.  It simply hardens bone and, since it is poorly absorbed even under the best of conditions, it gets into you arteries and clogs them.  Be careful about taking supplemental calcium.  Eat foods that contain calcium.

What took them so long!  Nightline is interesting and informative and its three hosts are so civilized.  I have long really liked Cynthia McFadden.  Her reports are even-handed.

I have so much respect for Martha Raddatz’ reporting.

Lesley can’t be all that dumb.  Her grammar is better than yours.

Oh, for crying out loud.  Why are we fighting about which cheating husband is better than the others or which wronged wife is more admirable than the rest?  Just tell Mark Sanford to "shut up."  I’m tired of his tearful, juvenille confessions.  Get a therapist or a diary; but don’t use the internet.

"Sharon Stone … They love her in Croatia."  So, according to the story, Sharon Stone will be filming in Serbia.  Maybe worth noting that they don’t love the Serbs in Croatia.

That subtle racism comment in the article really offended me.  Please!  quit trying to be cute or make trouble or stop doing whatever it was you were trying to do, Billy N.

Yes!  Absolutely. "The singing movie sweetheart."  Lifetime Oscar for her please.  I loved her songs and her movies.  Those were the days when you could even sing-along.

I couldn’t agree more!  Queens Elizabeth I, Elizabeth II, Queen Anne, Queen Victoria.  Who would have thunk it would take this long!  But…Bravo!

I have watched "Damages" from the very beginning and really enjoy it, but I hope these are not realistic portrayals!  Creepy Ellen and over-the-top Patty.

What a fun trip down memory lane.  Great choices.  I had forgotten there were so many good shows.  The list could go on and on.  But would someone help me out?
