My Comments (220 so far…)

On Tuesday you told us what you slept in. Today, we want to know: How many people have you slept with?

I once told my sister how many I’d slept with. I knew it would be more than her total, since she’d been married most of her adult life and I hadn’t. The number wasn’t that awful, but she told her husband and then they threw it up to my then teenaged daughter, telling her she better not jump into bed with anybody who asked her, like her Mom did. Nice story, huh?

Who Is She? Part Two

She should contact the old boyfriend because she needs to see herself, or remember herself, as a person who is admired and has options. Not that she would have an affair, but she needs to be validated as a worthwhile woman. Once her self esteem has had a little boost, then she should talk to Bart and they should discuss where things really stand in their marriage and what each of them wants for the future.

I wholeheartedly agree, Terri. I hope it is of some comfort to Mr. Fayed

What do you sleep in?

I want to add that whoever finds me should just be grateful I wore then panties!

What do you sleep in?

White cotten panties and a T-shirt. But I worry that if I should die in my sleep, I will be found lookiing like a beached whale, so I keep meaning to get some long nightgowns. Haven’t decided if I care enough to do so or not.

What Happens to Us After We Die?

I am not positive what I think about life after death. I was raised as Catholic. My Dad was a convert, probably as a gift to my Mom. My Dad died over 3 years ago. As he got older, I asked him what he thought about the hereafter. He said he believed he would become dust, and there probably wasn’t a heaven, but that he would live on as long as anyone remembered him. I somethimes dream and believe I am having a conversation with him. I don’t know if I am, or if I just want to, or if part of me is him. I do know that he wasn’t afraid of death. He was a wonderful man who is in many people’s hearts. He lives on.

Why Does Geraldine Ferraro Keep Hammering Away at Barack Obama's Skin Color?

The contrast between Hillary and Barack is stark, and it has nothing to do with race, although race problems still do permeate our society and must be resolved, which I believe Obama can do. I was first excited by his candidacy because he is inspriational, like JFK was, and he can make us want to be better people than we are, and be a better country than we are right now. As his campaign has progressed, I feel more strongly about that each day. I am so impressed that he responded to the race issue brought up by the Wright situation that I think he can help us to heal ourselves as a country in terms of understanding that we have so much more in common with each other than not, regardless of race, gender or creed. We can accomplish so much more as one people, rather than as blacks or women or white men, or any other designation. We are Americans.

Why Does Geraldine Ferraro Keep Hammering Away at Barack Obama's Skin Color?

My view is that all discrimination, whether it is based on gender or race or religion, comes from ignorance based on fear. The early feminists helped eradicate discrimination against women. Once that started to happen, they needed to evolve, or at least understand, that they could stop being so dogmatic because they had succeeded. Once you succeed, it means the world is judging a woman based on the content of your character, as MLK said. You may say the battle is never over, but it is largely over on this issue. BTW, I am 60.

Why Does Geraldine Ferraro Keep Hammering Away at Barack Obama's Skin Color?

Geraldine Ferraro, not unlike Hillary Clinton, never evolved past the hard-wired feminist self image that the world judges us first on our gender. That is why she can’t get past thinking likewise that Barack Obama must be judged first by his race. This kind of thinking comes from those who have missed the essential point of Obama’s campaign: he transcends race and gender, and perhaps party too.

I Read the News Today, Oh Boy: Undressing our British Cousins

I think Carla Bruni looked wonderful througout her recent stay in England and I look forward to seeing much more of her Jackie-like style in the future. I was also charmed by how clearly crazy her new husband is about her!
