Obama Budget a Can of … Pythons, by Liz Peek

The idea that we should trust corporations to do the right thing is risible. Liz, you are in denial. That corporate ethics thing fell out of fashion long ago.  They are like the children of neglectful parents - without any sense of responsibility, and rotten with entitlement. So the government has to act as a tough parent now. We gave deregulation a try, remember?

Liz Smith on Why Kate Winslet Snubbed Harvey Weinstein on Oscar Night (Video)

Harvey Weinstein receives plenty of recognition already - as a pig.

Liz Smith Leaves the NY Post for wowOwow!

Shame on the Post, Liz, for dismissing you. Many think you’re just a "gossip columnist" but I think the column was more a vehicle for your championing worthy careers, events, and causes. I’m glad your generous heart has found a place in Wowowow.

Joan Juliet Buck's Economic Stimulus Plan

Bravo, Joan. It’s not Democratic or Republican - it’s our entire I-got-mine free-market mentality. We have reached the endgame of that way of life.

President Obama presented his domestic policy to Congress last night. The speech was....

It was a great speech but no, I don’t feel better. It consisted of a list of things Obama is determined to do. They are not done yet - and we don’t know what unforeseen events will come into play. I do believe he will do his best, and I am vastly relieved he is POTUS, but I am still pessimistic that we have not seen the levels of poverty and failure yet that are in store.

What did you think of the Academy Awards show?

I hated the cluttered set and the overly busy graphics - did anyone else have trouble seeing the "in memoriam" pictures swirling around like acid flashbacks? The lighting was terrible, the backgrounds distracting, and in many categories they didn’t have the grace to show the nominees themselves before announcing.

Introducing Mr. Wow ... wowOwow's Oscar Night Live Blogger

Marlon Brando didn’t deserve his Oscar for The Godfather? Are you kidding me??? You don’t need to stuff cotton in your cheeks, Mr. Wow. You’ve got plenty between the ears.

How much faith do you have that the economic stimulus plan and the new Geithner TARP plan will save the economy?

Oh Nanchan! Why don’t you take a look at the poll at the top of this thread. Most of the respondants say they don’t have much faith, but they do have hope. What you mistake for religious worship is really the expression of everyone’s hope.

How much faith do you have that the economic stimulus plan and the new Geithner TARP plan will save the economy?

Wow the Dems must have just waved their magic wand to make all that happen in 2 years. Thanks, we don’t want George Bush’s prayers anymore.

How much faith do you have that the economic stimulus plan and the new Geithner TARP plan will save the economy?

This is such specious reasoning, Ms. Moore, beginning with your dating the economic mess as of the 2006 Dems’ majority in Congress. I would say that you know nothing about economics if you cannot trace this collapse further back than 2006. Add to that, nearly all major economic legislation passed in Congress from 2006-8 originated in the White House and Republican agenda and had their support, including TARP #1. No one thinks Obama is the messiah. Bush was the one who thought he was chosen by God.

Botox Sales Down in the Recession? Stop the Madness!

I’m with you, kb. Where is the silver lining? Where? I need new glasses.

Divorce Inspires Ellen Barkin HBO Project

Isn’t this a series called THE STARTER WIFE?

What impact did this economic slowdown have on your charitable giving?

I gave a lot more. This is a time of sacrifice.
