The Eight Strangest Love Stories Ever

Greer Garson and Richard Ney, her son in Mrs Miniver.

World Weighs in on New Yorker's Obama Cover

Tasteless and not as innocent as the Editor tried to make it appear on CNN last night evening.

The Silver Tsunami: Is Gray the New Power Hair Color for Women?

If you’re talking white or silver haired like Meryl in Prada you’d better check the photos you published. Most of them are just blonds. Perhaps not YELLOW blonds but definitely not white or silver. The piece is very good. Pitty the examples…

The Halston Chain

Fashion, glamour, refinement, you name it… It’s fun to read, also interesting, and has has nothing to do with going shopping and being able to afford this or that. Please drop the “offended” style and enjoy. Halston was a very well known designer, Studio 54 a rather infamous place in New York … even I know that and I’ve never lived in America. You see, I’m from Southamerica but I do read.

'We Used to Never Acknowledge Them, Today They're Our Badges of Success'

I agree with Deni. I enjoyed the analysis of the shallow and the insecure, the nouveau riche turned socialites as they are wont to and their gurus, stylists you name them… Funny of course, a bit depressing too. These women are fun no matter what they talk about.

On Tuesday you told us what you slept in. Today, we want to know: How many people have you slept with?

I think the question is intended to obtain ironic, funny, clever responses like ms. buck’s and not a real account of our sexual encounters or sex life. Can’t wait for Ms. Smith’s. She’s a sharp one too. wowOwow is a dream come true really, such fun!

What do you consider to be the new seven deadly sins?

Much as I hate the word SIN, I think I understand the concept i.e. a fault committed by a human being. I don’t see how cancer falls into that category since it is a horrible disease that you may or not get…. but certainly no one can inflict it on you. Devastating as it is, it ain’t no sin Jozie. And I agree with you that governments and private interests are responsible for the kind of sins you and many of the ladies are talking about.

Scenes of 'Amigas' In and Around Cuenca, Ecuador

Gracias por tu galeria de fotos (Thank you for you photo gallery) Tendrias que venir a la Quebrada de Humahuaca en Argentina. You should come to the Quebrada de Huamahuaca in Argentina, Province of Jujuy.

What is the most dangerous thing you have ever done?

Come to think of it, driving UTI I must say… ages ago during my absolutely roaring thirties… Now there’s no roaring in that department, nor in any other for that matter… AA was THE place to go to and by 1973 I was on the wagon and very happy indeed. I was lucky never to have been caught!!!

What is the most dangerous thing you have ever done?

Thank you sooooo much for your tech story. I can’t stop laughing. Pitty it will not sound as funny in Spanish, when I tell it to my friends. English is in my opinion THE tongue for witt and sharp comments or thoughts.

Did you become what you wanted to be when you grew up?

I don’t remember who I was when I was growing up. I changed, in every possible way and am content as I continue carving out this work of not art, but effort.

The Friendship of Liz Smith and Ann Richards

Thanks for sharing your photo album. I live in Buenos Aires and got to know Ann Richards reading about her in American newspapers and on CNN with Larry King Live. I had a ball every time she was invited; so witty and full of life, down to earth and funny. And there was also your column talking about your friendship and comings and goings in New York. Couldn’t believe it when she died so suddenly. Thank god you keep mentioning her in your column now and then because silly as it may seem, in a way I do miss her too.

What Happens to Us After We Die?

I’m a lapsed Catholic and do think people cling to religion (any religion) to feel they have a kind of a back up in this complicated sometimes cruel world. My answer is I think we just cease to be period.

Gypsy’s Personal Guide to Doctors, Drivers, Taxis, Shippers and Helicopters in the Med

No Ferrari Testa Rossa for rental! I’m dissappointed and shall just stay home. Thanks anyway!
