My Comments (33 so far…)

On Tuesday you told us what you slept in. Today, we want to know: How many people have you slept with?

No-one. And before anyone asks, I don’t miss it. I am 57 years old now. A few years ago I was going to join a women’s media group and one question on the application form was “What is your sexuality?” My immediate response was “mind your own business”, then I thought I’d write “celibate”.

Privacy: Is It Yours for the Taking?

I feel very sorry for Britney Spears. It seems that the press has quietened down on her now and that is good. Maybe it was her former manager (the one her father had sacked) who had been getting in touch with the press to hound her. If that is the case, then it is disgusting that he was probably trying to make more money out of her - sort of selling her privacy. Anyone would go crazy if they had the same amount of pressure from the media invading her privacy as she did over the past few months. As well she was going through a divorce, and had custody problems.

Why Does Geraldine Ferraro Keep Hammering Away at Barack Obama's Skin Color?

It seems to me that the Democrat Party has a very undemocratic election system: 1. Why have caucuses when the president is elected by voting. 2. In some states there are both caucuses and voting - depending upon the rules of the state’s Democrat Party. Even though far fewer people turn up for the caucuses they get a lion’s share of the delegates. 3. Then two states’ (Michigan‘s and Florida‘s) votes and delegates are excluded from the system because the national Democrat Party did not want them to hold their primaries when they did. 4. In some states Republicans and independents can vote for the Democrat candidate. Doesn’t this skew the result? 5. In several states (for example Nevada and Texas) one candidate has won the popular vote but the other gets more delegates. The sad thing is that the main beneficiary of all these anomalies has been one candidate while the other one loses out. The winning candidate has been very ornery about getting the Florida and Michigan votes counted because that would reduce his lead. America might be the home of the brave and the land of the free but one of its main political parties needs to rethink its version of democracy.
